What heals my stomach?

On Monday I ate tuna salad the next day my stomach was acting up.. I threw up and my brother who is a med student told me to take a pregnancy test well it showed negative and I had my period two weeks ago. ..

My stomach has been bad since , no throwing up but just pain in the abdominal area in the middle of my stomach... and nausia.. not like I want to throw up nauasia but like th e feeling if you have had cofffe and your stomach is going bad.

It doesn't hurt when I eat only after... heelp

Well it's been, what, five days since the tuna salad? That's a little long for food poisoning, so that seems unlikely. It's very unlikely you're pregnant, since you had your period 2 weeks ago so you wouldn't be showing symptoms yet. Plus, your nausea sounds different from morning sickness (usually in pregnancy, the nausea is triggered by the smell of food).

Anyway, it's possible that your stomach may just be still recovering from the bad tuna salad. But it may be something more, like an actual issue with your stomach. I recommend going to the doctor if it's not better by Monday.

Here's my advice (I have a very sensitive stomach myself). Add fiber to your diet; you can either buy the tasteless powder to add to your food/drinks, or you could buy some Fiber One bars. You'll probably feel better once you're no longer constipated. In the meantime, eat foods that are gentle on your stomach. Starches like pasta or baked potatoes are good. Take it easy on spicy food or dairy (except for yogurt), as well as anything too acidic (like orange juice or tomato soup). My stomach always accepts chicken & rice when it's upset.

You might want to go to the hospital if it continues. Food poisoning usually clears up faster than that. It could be something more serious (acute gastroenteritis is my best and unprofessional guess).

First take garlic. Just one clove will do (not the whole garlic!) Cut it in half or thirds or whatever gets it down to about the size of a pill, wait 10 seconds (being exposed to air does something to it to get it's antibiotic and antibacterial properties going), then take the pieces with water like a pill. Your stomach will have a weird feeling after a few minutes, it's killing the bad bacteria! This may or may not help you poo but if it doesn't then take something that will help with the good bacteria like psyllium husk powder, it's a natural intestine lubricant and stool softener. Works great. Cured food poisoning with this on myself on two occasions.

Your brother is a med student and the best he could come up with is to take a pregnancy test? And after that you want to ask a bunch of strangers who likely have even less medical knowledge? And based only on one thing you ate several days ago? There are these people who know the answers you are looking for. They are called doctors.

If you recently had a period and the test is negative, then even if you are pregnant, it is way too early for any noticeable effects.

Try Activia yogurt. I had a case of food poisoning a few years back. The same sort of symptoms... just stomach pain. I had 2 containers at breakfast and 2 more at lunch. By dinner I was almost 100%.

There are "probiotics" (whatever that is) in the yogurt which help your digestive system.
