Are girls with a history of weight control issues very likely to revert?

One of my guyfriends claimed that girls with a history of weight problems are more likely to get overweight again after marriage.

A week later, I meet the most remarkably intelligent, caring, whitty and beautiful woman I could imagine. I asked her out, but after looking through her facebook I noticed she used to be a lot rounder than she is now.

She is so remarkable that I think I'd still fancy her no matter what she looked like, but just for the sake of knowing, I'd like to know what can expect down the road.

It really does depend. There isn't a higher chance of it going one way or the other. Women who have been overweight in the past may be more inclined to slip up. OR it could go in the completely opposite direction and their overweight past makes them extra determined to stay thin.

Probably yes. After marriage, many of them don't have a strong reason to look good (they don't need to find a guy). However, if she is rather health-conscious than looks-conscious, she may not become overweight again.

It can vary honestly. Either they know what things triggered it in the past, so they work hard to not be that way (either for their health, or because they didn't like themselves like that). Or there is a possibility it's genetic and they might gain more weight later on.

I've known women like both, and they are in their 30s-40s. If you like this woman, I would give it a chance. She seems awesome.

It is easier for them to become fat again because they already have the fat cells, but on the other side maybe she pays more attention to keeping the slim line, since she knows how it is to be fat, and how hard it is to loose weight.

I know that from myself, I used to be fat and now I know so much about nutrition and I would never allow myself to get fat again.

i was fat before but now i care what i eat and drink very much.. because i don't wanna be fat back again, this will push me exercise very day.. so no.. girl used to be fat is unlikely to be fat again.

I was chubby once too, but I worked so hard to look like I do now. This serves as major motivator to never go back to that stage of my life again. I doubt anyone would want to ruin their progres.
