How long does it usually take for you to get a flat stomach if you already have one? Also if you are in progress, how long do you start to see result?

Everytime I exercise, I keep doing it but then I stop and then I keep doing it again and stop again. I can't keep it going constant because I keep losing motivation. Sometimes if I skip a few days I just stop until I feel like I'm really out of shape which is a few months and do it again. This always happens everytime I work out. I just can't keep it constant for some reason. I really want to focus on losing weight for now so how long does it take for you to actually see results? And what do you do to be motivated?
