PS. I am working to get upper body muscles.
How long does it usually take to see a physical change when you work out?
PS. I am working to get upper body muscles.
if your building muscle, then 3-8 months
if your losing weight, then anywhere from 2 weeks
take before and after pics, results will come... consistency is key
if u hit a plateau, eat more calories, force your self to lift as heavy as you can and try and get new PR's
When i first started lifting, i didn't gain shit for 3 months, but when i looked at before and after pics, the results do come, it just takes time
Depends on your body type, some people put on muscle fast and some don't. The first or two years of training will likely be your best, the longer you workout the less gains you'll make. The first year I started working out, I put on 30lbs. Ever since then I struggle to put on 5lbs. Train 4 days a week and never skip leg day. Don't be one of those guys with a big upper body and skinny a*s legs.
What if you're trying to lose weight.
About four weeks for you to notice a difference, about six weeks for other people to notice a difference and about eight to ten weeks before any appreciable weight loss/wardrobe changes.
About 6-8 months.

It's called a plateau. A plateau is when your body has become used to your exercise regime and there is no further physical changes happening.
To combat this, you need to take on more challenging exercises for your body.
You can't plateau in 3wks, plus it's too short of time to see any results.
I didn't know that fact, In your question, you never said that it was 3 weeks.
But normally it takes at least 6 months to plateau
Oops, I just read over it again, my bad
Lol that's happened to me too. Lifted weights for a few weeks, then stopped. Start again two summers later, then stop again.
up to 3 months
