Some fitness advice?

i am a male and is training to become big. they say if you want to become big, you should lift as heavy as you can? but the downside is if i do that, i feel extremely tired after that. For example, when i do barbell bench press, maybe i do around 12.5kg on each side (10 reps for 3 sets). i dont feel too tired and i can still feel my muscle sore. However, if i really want to, i can still lift up to 15 kg on both side (same 10 reps for 3 sets). That will make me feel really tired for the rest of the day and very sore muscle.

which is the correct weight that i should take? thankyou.
