What are signs of depression I might be falling into it?

my sex drive has gone down along with y eating habits, my sex drive is so far down its unbeleivable so im getting worried. I don't know what caused my change in lifestyle and i haven't been the happiest

That is how my decline into depression began. You might want to talk to a doctor or therapist about it. Perhaps a school councilor. Depression is different for every person. Some days, its just not finding much interest in anything you do, or being unable to find motivation to do anything but sit on the couch mindlessly. Loosing sex drive and eating less is often an indication of it beginning. Has anything changed in your life recently? Even diet wise, can account for mood change.

It really isn't something you can just "stop". It is a physical and mental issue, a legitimate medical problem. If you are unwilling to go to a doctor, I would suggest the following. Getting better sleep can sometimes help. Not /more/ but /better/. Any local pharmacy should have melatonin. It is a natural over the counter supplement that you take one pill nightly. You should also try to do active things. Avoid spending all day in bed or in your pajamas. Even if you do lay back in your bed, make sure to get up, shower, and get dressed in clothes that you like on yourself. Even if it's just a favorite geeky t-shirt or something. Outside-in approach is sometimes helpful. Other little things like listening to song that you enjoy, attempting to have a positive attitude. Though trust me, I know how difficult that can be, to force yourself to think positively when you don't feel that way. One of the things that helped me slightly was thinking about one positive thing each morning when I awoke.

I'm totally disabled by it and no longer work because of it so I think I'm qualified to share. It's defined as a loss of interestablishing in the things we normally enjoy

That was misspelled a loss of interest in the things we normally enjoy. All I hear is sex drive. Depression is chronic and it affects every area of your life. You go without bathing, you sleep all the time or never, you don't eat. It's a feeling of hopelessness. You isolate. It just never changes. It affects work, school, relationships. So you tell me

There isn't beating major depression. All you can do is treat it. I've done pretty well since I'm still alive
