Any tips?
I'm a vegetarian, should I go vegan?
Any tips?
It's entirely up to you, but if you've learned about the dairy industry and how it harms animals, the environment, and our health, going vegan would naturally be the next step towards a more compassionate, eco-friendly, and healthy lifestyle.
Substitutes were really helpful for me when I transitioned, but keep in mind that whole, plant foods are always healthier than processed food of any kind. There's a vegan alternative to literally every food out there, so don't worry about it. Youtube and Google have become my best friends for finding vegan recipes for pretty much anything you could possibly want. They have vegan butter, cream cheese, cheese slices, cheese shreds, ice cream, milk, cream, ricotta, feta, I could go on forever lol. You might want to buy some nutritional yeast too, it has a whole bunch of B vitamins and has a cheesy flavour, super yummy :).
There are a lot of substitutes. A lot are not so good but some are. I know that Trader Joe's makes good soy bean vanilla ice cream.
You do know that if everyone would become vegan the animals would probably suffer more than they are if you just ate them. It would require a lot resources to produce all this vegan food and if you calculate the lose of biodiversity, its possible it could he worse.
Also be grateful for meat, its very likely our bodies especially the size of our brain evolved to such an extent because of meat being a part of our diet
But sure today being vegan could potentially be healthier but I don't know if you are saving any animals hers. The industry will still continue to slaughter whether you support it or not. And if everyone does follow, then you have the risk of massive biodiversity lose
Change from animal milk to soya milk, rice milk or similar. There are vegan cheeses, too, but some don't taste that good. There's carob instead of chocolate, but that too, doesn't taste that good. There are other dairy free chocolate products which are fine.
I have a cousin who has been vegan for at least 10 years. She's fit and healthy. She's also coeliac as well, so has to avoid all wheat gluten. It's not a problem for her. She bakes gluten free bread and cakes.

I personally wouldn't recommend going vegan or even vegetarian for that matter because I'd be worried about your nutrition, although I do believe at least 3 out of your 7 evening meals per week should be vegetarian but if you really want to cut out dairy products just don't eat anything with milk, butter or cream products. That's pretty much it.
i respect your decision, but be careful. malnutrition is extremely common among those that don't take the lifestyle serious.
I would do gradually. Don't go cold turkey. Gotta take baby steps
Hummus and Vegemite/Marmite/Brewers yeast.
Why be a vegetarian?
Because I feel like another living being shouldn't die, just so I can please myself. (Animal friend here haha!) Plus, if it isn't okay to consume a cat, dog, horse etc. it's not okay to consume a cow, pig or chicken (IN MY OPINION!) I'm not hating on people who eat meat - I just can't eat the meat guilt free.
Oh I see. No that's perfectly fine. I was just curious. I wasn't sure if it was that or maybe something else. As far as what you need to do, I am not the one to help lol. I know nothing about this topic!
don't do this cause you feel pressured.
Yes you should :)
