Switching from a regular gym to a bootcamp?

So... I've been slacking majorly. Lol. I used to go to the gym about 5x a week for 1-2 hours each session, but I've continuosly put academic/professional goals as priorities over exercise. I was thinking of switching from my regular gym, in which you really exercise however you want... to a bootcamp. The thing is... I'm kind of scared because I've driven past these bootcamps and everyone looks super fit and -really- strong. I've also looked at some websites and they're all giving me the impression that it isn't just about you seeing if you like the gym... but if the trainers/other people there also like you...

The trainers work really closely with members, which is just an odd dynamic for me since I've never had a personal trainer before... and I don't like the idea of being talked to / yelled at / stared at as I sweat like crazy lol. On the other hand, i realllly want a more focused, targeted workout with input from a professional so that I can get as toned and strong as I want to be.

I'm also a bit concerned about dress code. Can you wear whatever you want to those places? I like wearing yoga pants and a baggy t. I've slaved away on treadmills and ellipticals in that get up for years and it's always been really comfortable for me. I don't want to wear spandex or whatever stuff trainer people wear because it looks uncomfy to me.

Basically... I'm not sure if I should invest in what could be a $150-180 / month membership... or stick to be $40 / month one...

I wish those trainers didn't look so intimidating :( I think that's my main problem.
