Will not working out one day totally ruin my plan?

I am doing the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred I've done it twice and love it! I did it last night and today my legs are killing me. I've run a mile before and been fine the next day.. But i didn't do it tonight because my legs are so sore and hurting that I'm not sure I could do it.. Or how smart it would be. I know part of it is just getting back into shape.. But if I continue tmrw and just plan for an extra day will that work?
