Let's see:
1. The smell is terrible so I bet the taste is as well.
2. It is not healthy and can make you gain weight.
3. It makes you do things out of your consciousness, can make you do very embarassing things and can put your life and other people's lives in danger. Alcohol kills a lot every year and it is very easy to fall into addiction.
4. If you wanna have the same effects to have fun just stay up for over 20 hours and it will do the same. If you need it to be more confident or help you deal with problems, it won't as alcohol will only be a way of escape.
So question is, why would you drink alcohol? I'd rather keep sippin' on that caprisun. 👼🏻42 Reply- +1 y

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yMy mother and father have both gotten addicted to alcohol at some point in my life. I want nothing to do with it, though that's just because of the fear. I'd like to try it someday, but I'm scared I'll get hooked on it and put my own children through hell.

I'm sorry you had to deal with that. I think it is a wise decision to keep your children in the clear. They will be grateful for it.
Well, it's definitely not 'C.' I love the taste of almost all beer.
I really stopped for health reasons, as you know. :( Alcohol isn't good for my thyroid, I'm gluten-sensitive, blah bah blah. Beyond that, alcohol is a toxin and it's pretty much the embodiment of empty calories.
Seeing family members have alcohol issues has always played a role in me not being a heavy drinker, too. I've always been turned off to drunkenness, and all that comes with it. That makes not being able to have beer less difficult.10 Reply
+1 y"Other. List below./Bunch of my family members are alcoholics and I don't want to be like them. / Health reasons".
1 I dont need a "drink" to enjoy life.
2 I'd be sitting in somebody's prison after doing something I'd regret while drunk.
3. it's a waste of money + has no health benefits.
4. people seem to use it as an excuse to do dumb shit.
5. I dont want a beer belly lol
overall I'd be just like the rest of the people in my family who can't do shit without their "high/and or drink"LOL.10 Reply

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI don't drink because I accept responsibility for my own actions, and don't want to impair my judgment. Anything I do that is even slightly unethical while drunk would still be 100% my fault. I am not the type of person to blame my short comings on drinking, so I just don't drink to avoid that.

I like that. It's a shame people find a scapegoat. Too many people play the victim and don't fess up to their failures.
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yI don't like it. I also don't like how it make's people act. Also there are no health benefits, so i don't see the point in drinking. It just seem's sad to me that people think they have to get drunk to have fun. I don't know, that just rubs me the wrong way. I can understand drinking if you actually like the taste, a glass of wine IF YOU WANT IT, that's fine, but people drinking beer after beer and shot's just.. there's no point and then people start acting dumb. It's gross in my opinion.

+1 yI just don't have the desire to drink it. Its not really a good habit to have and it could lead to health issues. It can make tired and exhausted. My mom drinks it, every now and then but she's so quick to fall asleep. I don't have any desire to try it when I get older. Its just not my thing.

+1 yI drink on special occasions. Like Christmas. But I'm okay with others drinking around me. The reason.. I just don't desire for it. I also grew up in a rough neighborhood and saw people become dependent on that stuff and ruin their lives because of it. So it's one of the major reasons i don't drink. Saw some really terrible effects of what alcohol can have on others.

+1 yI dislike the flavour. I also find the idea of being drunk extremely disgusting. I take pride in my intelligence and I would not drink something that would make me stupid for a few hours. It also might lead to poor decisions that I would end up regretting.

+1 yI grew up Mormon and they don't drink, and i saw my grandpa literally throw his life away over alcohol. Sooo that didn't help things haha, but I probably would have started drinking in Uni if it weren't for fitness, so I haven't based on personal health reasons. Plus, I already do dumb enough stuff sober. So voted A. But I mean I obviously hang out with like 80-90% of people that drink so I'm ofc okay with it. I just prefer having abs really.

+1 yit's just overrated. either i'm shitfaced and i don't know it, i'm drinking the wrong kind (i only drink whisky and rum) or people are just light, but it does absolutely nothing. i just get dizzier and tired. nothing's more fun, i don't act different besides getting tired and i get 50 times lazier
10 Reply 484 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I probably drink once or twice a month. I don't drink very often because it's kind of expensive, I have a job and school so I would rather focus on that than get drunk or something, and I haven't found much that I like.
