Don't worry about losing pounds on the scale, just try to live a healthy lifestyle. The number on the scale means nothing. Someone who's tall can weigh 150lbs and look normal, while someone who's short and 150lbs would look heavier. 2 people of the same height can weigh the same amount, but one looks fit because the pounds come from their muscle mass, while the other looks heavier because the pounds come from fat. I cannot stress enough that the number on the scale is not a good indicator of weight! BMI is better to consider, although there are issues with that too, and many people will say BMI is not accurate.
Eat multiple small meals throughout the day. That will keep your metabolism going (as opposed to starving yourself and then eating a big dinner - then it will be harder to lose weight). Drink lots of water, no soda. Limit your carbs, but don't cut out carbs completely. Work out. Try jogging for 30 min every day. You want to do some sort of physical activity that gets your heart rate up.
If you are still concerned about weight, talk to your doctor about what you can do. If you have the money, join a gym and talk to a personal trainer. They will tell you what exercises you can do to target certain parts of your body that you want to improve (like if you want to tone your arms, or if you want to shrink tummy fat).

you just have to burn more calories that you eat no matter where you get them from (but it is better for you to choose healthier foods, remember that less calories does not mean healthy) don't forget to drink water as much as you feel to.
Also, eating from smaller plates tricks your brain into thinking you had enough food but eating a little less and I heard eating spicey food is good for your metabolism
I suggest you to mainly go jogging, at least I find this to be the most enjoyable sport haha, maybe go with some friends

It really depends on how tall you are to decipher if thats an unhealthy weight. However I know teens like junk food try to limit that and don't binge on it.. vegetables are your friend! There are healthy alternatives you just have to google recipes as for dinner i'm not sure what your parents cook for you but if its not helping you along the way I suggest you meal prep a separate dinner for you. Drink a lot of water and start exercising x
Cut out processed carbs altogether and increase your protein intake. I've never been fat at all, but even when I was 115 pounds I looked soft when I was still eating processed sugars. Those things are terrible for you and spike your insulin, making your body want to add weight. Also, start weight training. It's the best thing I've ever done for my body.

And she has a lot of actually really good advice. =)
So check out her channel and see if anything strikes you. Just exercise, and most of all - a healthy diet - is what will work.
But do not eat too much - meaning eat more portions, but smaller... And healthy stuff only - or mostly at least. Pick a high intensity sport, stick with playing it for the next five years... The weight will come off by itself.
What is the problem with 140 lbs? It all depends on your height and muscle mass
