Have you ever did it? And if yes, how did it affect you?
Have you ever thought about doing an internet detox?

Although I still have snapchat and Instagram (one because I have a friend in Iceland and snapchat is the only form of communication we have, and IG because I run a large blog) over the past month I've given up a lot of social media. Unfortunately in my option it didn't change much. I still found myself on my phone just as much as before. However, I found myself talk to my friends more (not in person). I began to talk to those who I wasn't as close with etc. In addition to that, I found myself educating myself more versus scrolling through twitter mindlessly. For instance, new articles or googling questions as my mind wandered off.
Yeah, as a part of a friends research project, I didn't use any social media for a week. It was tough at first because I used it a lot when I was bored, but I noticed I was much happier and more bubbly, and I found it easier to communicate with people in real life.
As for GaG? I use it pretty much every day, and I think I'm more addicted to it than any other site, and certainly spend most of my time spent on social media on here (if this counts).
I've done it tons of times, doesn't really have any affect on me I just do the same stuff I do everyday. Eat, sleep, train, write, pain etc, I think the whole no internet thing only really affects you if you don't really have much to do in real life.
My Facebook has been deactivated for around 2 years now. Instagram off for about the same.
I did it after getting rejected by a girl. After sometime I didn't see the point of reactivating it. Just kept it closed.

I've noticed that 2 or 3 days off GAG did me good... and surfing for minutes is better than hours.
So I'm convinced it can work :D
I quit Facebook over a year ago and about 2 years before quitting for good I'd deactivate my account for months at a time only to reactivate for a week or two. I don't use any other social media networks and I'm quite happy.
Yeah when I was camping for about 5 days, I had no internet or data or anything. It was fine, cause nobody contacts me anyway.
It's not that heard. Only hard part for me would be how I wouldn't have away to talk to my boyfriend. Now that would make me sad. :(
It's easy to go without the internet, cell phones, etc. but I can't pay my bills by playing the piano, gardening, doing art, going fishing, exercising, playing with my dog, going mountain biking, etc.
Yes, I don't though. School would be so boring without internet. I have too many "study hall" or "you can do your own thing for the last 10 minutes" to just leave my phone at home.
A more significant piece of technology that would be nice to see disappear for a bit would be cell phones
I use internet when I'm free so it's not like I'm addicted or something
When I'm busy I don't use it
So nothing big
And i think you should also try to go without internet if you think it's affecting your real life
It's crossed my mind but my life would be so boring without it.
It's crossed my mind but I'd be so bored if I did that, intentionally. It's happened before but not by choice.
yes i am doing it currently actually and its really helping me clear my mind :)
I have but it only works when I'm really busy with other stuff.
It feels great.
I tried once to leave gag for only 1 week and I returned after 2 hours 😆
Yes. Usually after breakups so I don't creep lol but that's about it
I deleted all my social media because all I had were fake friends and they were all negative. It felt so liberating tbh 😊haven't looked back since
Been for a month without instagram or snap chat (dont have fb) Was alright.
The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.
Nah, I'm too attached.
I've done it before, it's not anything special.
yes i have, and i did it one time and it was ok
