It's probably scarred, stitches do that. My dad would have to get incisions on his back really bad, when they were in stitches I had the task of putting petroleum jelly on him every night. Lol. It actually does help with scars. As does many other things. This article seems helpful, from the bits I've read for you. I don't think you have to go to a doctor, but use the tips in the article to make it less obvious if you wish. Scars reduce slightly over time, but not comepletely at all. Alternatively, you could use concealer to hide it.

That's probably the color of the scar. I have a scar from a dog bite on my face and it's noticeable paler than the rest of me. I have lots of scars in lots of different colors. Normal, white, red.
