If calories in<calories out you lose weight. it doesn't matter if those calories come from chocolate, meat, or even cardboard for that matter. Not sure how big you are so can't tell you if 1100 calories a day is to little or what. Try to spread your meals out throughout the day. Like try to eat 5-6 smaller meals throughout the day. This keeps your metabolism up as every time you eat your metabolism kicks in. As buffballr12 said if you eat less your metabolism slows down so this is the best way to combat that, Plus having your metabolism high throughout the day instead of spiking up and then dropping low for 5-6 hours until your next meal actually burns more calories. There's nothing really WRONG with sugar at all. One gram of sugar has the exact same amount of calories as any other carb. 1g of sugar=4 calories 1g of brown rice=4 calories. Sugar just tends to spike insulin and in return makes you hungrier and is known as an "empty calorie" it has no vitamins/minerals or anything good for your body, whereas if you eat more complex calories, brown rice vegetables, foods high in fibre they tend to fill you up more and have excelent nutritional value. So sugar makes you hungeir, fibre and complex carbs make you more full and is better for you. That said try and stay away from sugar as much as you can and try to eat complex carbs and fibre to keep you satisfied instead of being hungry again in 30 minutes. But 1 hershey kiss a day won't hurt you at all. The thing that hurts you is that one becomes 2 and those 2 become 3 and so on.
So to recap... East 5-6 smaller meals spread throughout the day. Make those consist of HEALTH foods such as vegetables, lean meats, complex carbs, and healthy fats like nuts and olive oil. A little sugar won't hurt at all just don't eat too much and be disciplined about it. I would also take a multi-vitamin as well. At 1100 calories it will be REALLY hard to get all the vitamins/minerals you need for recomened daily values. I'm at about 3500 calories a day and sometimes have problems hitting my recomended levels of that stuff.
One pound of fat=3500 calories. So if your new diet has 3500 calories less a week than your old diet did you will lose 1 pound a week. Working out or not.
Any questions or anything you need me to explain better just message me. not a nutritionist or anything but I'm currently studying NASM ciriculum to become a personal trainer.
Sorry if this is too long.

Of course ONE Hershey Kiss a day isn't going to impede your weight loss efforts.
I don't know anyone with that kind of will power, but if you possess it that's great.
I believe in everything in moderation, because if you restrict and limit yourself too much you'll end up binging on all types of junk food.
Just make sure that you do some other physical activity than your normal everyday activity. You need to do cardio especially to lose weight. Go for a jog or run on the treadmill, anything to get your heart rate up. And do so at least 4x a week for 20-30 minutes.
Diet and exercise go hand in hand. You can't do one without the other. In order to lose weight effectively, you've got to do both. And you'll be healthier too.
Good luck.

I'm a personal trainer, so I can help you out. Eating that little will help you lose a lot of weight in the short run. However, ur metabolism will decrease and ur body will get used to eating 1100 calories a day. So if you eat normally after that you will gain weight. You should eat small meals every 3 hours or so with the largest ones in the morning to fuel ur body for the rest of the day. And you should exercise at least 3 times a week running and lifting light weights. If you don't exercise, you won't get that tones body. Hope this helps!
A calorie deficit will bring about a loss in pounds no matter what those calories consist of dear. However when on a restricted calorie diet one must be careful to use 'empty calories' sparingly. You need to make sure you're getting enough vitamins and nutrients and such to stay healthy whilst you lose weight. Keep in the deficit, and you'll continue to lose pounds.
