Holding a girl's handbag?

I know a lot of people out there have strong feelings about this, so speak your mind.

Guys: Would you hold a handbag for your girl, maybe if she was tired? Would you do it knowing you make your girl happy, or grit your teeth and bear the whip lashings for a minute...

Girls: Do you think it's sweet that a guy would endure this task for you? Or does it sicken you that some wuss would let someone else lead him around like a mutt?

I normally carry my girlfriends bags and luggage and stuff...i think its just a gentleman-ish thing to do, ya know?...its almost like opening the door for a woman...its not mandatory...but its nice to do it...

and plz don't gimme the "i feel awkward with this stupid handbag"-type of excuse..you are just being too self-conscious of your appearance and the people around you...who cares abou t what they think?...whats more important is the fact that you care for your woman...just be a man..and swallow it...you'll get used to it...

Men who don't hold handbags for their women are like men who go shopping with a girl...and they think its NEVER going to end...and when she asks if this looks good on her...you sigh...and say "it looks terrific"...

so what sounds better? or IS better? of course the man who holds the bag!

well, I would do it occasionally, just not always, and that's shouldn't be a problem, is be happy to help her out !

ya know women cram those poor purses by everything they need or people around them might need. you might find a surgical blade in there for all I know :P

Haha, that's so true. And you'd be surprised. I had a wrench in my purse randomly for a while, because I needed it for who-knows-what.

Oh I did. I think I put it in there to begin with because I was procrastinating getting new battery cables for my car. The old connections would come loose sometimes, so I'd have to tighten them or else not be able to start my car, haha. After that I just kept the wrench in the car. =P I still find uses for it from time to time.

If my boyfriend were to offer to carry it for me,then I would think it is sweet,but I wouldn't make him or force him to do it.I wouldn't really expect those type of things out of my boyfriend ya know?

I wouldn't expect it... maybe like shopping bags or something, but I'm pretty sure I can carry my purse... lol but if he offered (even if I declined) I'd think he was really sweet.
