Is there a way to lose weight in a short amount of time?

I'm going on my sophomore year in college, and did an OK job of losing weight, but that was mostly cause of all the walking I did. I seemed to have slimmed down, but haven't lost weight. I'd like to think that it's cause I may have gained muscle, though that's not my main concern at the moment. I'm 5'8, and weigh about 178 lbs. I really want to get trimmed and hopefully toned by the end of the year. I wasn't always like this, mind you. I was content with my chubbiness, but as of recently, I've felt like total crap. I will admit that I am seriously jealous of Taylor Lautner, and it doesn't help that my friend, who I've had a serious crush on for as long as I've known her, talks bout how "Sexy, and yummy" he is. Then my other friend used to make fun of me for being fat, making cracks about my weight a little bit, or saying that I sounded like a fat woman when I would complain about something.

Please, if there's any way, let me know how to get slim and toned by May!

P.S: I already know about working out. Last year, I worked out 5x a week (only days I didn't were Saturday and Sunday).
