Do retainers turn guys off?

I have a missing tooth (not a big front one, but the small one to the left of them) I have a retainer with a tooth built in but I hate wearing it because then there is a metal wire across my teeth, but if I don't wear it then I have no tooth. I'm rather insecure about it, and tend to shy away from guys because I am afraid once they see it they will be turned off. what do guys think of this?

While a retainer is not exactly the most attractive thing in the world, its not really a big deal and is much easier to look past than a missing tooth. If I saw you with a missing tooth, that would be an instant turn off, but a retainer isn't that noticeable. Once I got to know you, if I liked you, than I wouldn't care about the retainer at all if I found out about it.

My boyfriend finds my retainer cute.. (though I only wear it at night now).

But he finds most anything cute on me so he's not the best guy to go by..

I'd definately say you should go for the retainer. A guy won't care that much, try not to be too self conscious about it. =]
