Yeah, but it's really not healthy to push yourself too hard, and because I am a Massage Therapist, I'm going to preach to you about massage and stretching! I hope you're stretching and drinking water. A lot of weight lifters will easily pull muscles and get into serious injuries. Plus, if you don't stretch, you could end up like a turtle:S I had a friend who was a beefcake, too, and every time he got a massage, he was a big p**** about it cause his muscles were too sensitive. He wasn't stretching or drinking water! I don't think it will stunt your growth, but having extremely tight muscles will give resistance. Hope this helps:)

higher reps is for training your body dry, as in no fat and muscle defenition. However I don't think you're looking for skinny tight arms. However this training may not make you look good, it does give you a lot of muscle stamina and makes you lose fat. If you want to go for some real strength and body mass I'd suggest high weights->low reps, but don't do 2 different excercises for 1 musclegroup. Do like 5 excercises and all 4x8 reps.
If you want to train dry, do 3 excercises per muscle group and do them like 1xpyrimid+3xuntilyoubreak.
once your older than eight its fine to lift weights. After twelve assuming you are developing normally you should be fine lifting weights and not stunting your growth. I started lifting when I was 13 and I'm 6' 2"

Its just a myth. It doesn't affect your growth in a negative way. Just be sure not to do much 1 rep max failure type of stuff, at least not as a kid. Just keep a steady upward pace ,warm up your muscles properly, do some cardio ect ect.
for some people with poor or below average diets this can happen, but as long as you're taking in adequate vitamins, protein and amino acids then your growth should continue as normal.
