Running does wonders for your entire body. You can't really target specific, key spots to lose weight so you'll need to just lose weight from your entire body. Since your waist, butt and thighs are a problem you could benefit from lunges, squats, and any machine involving stairs.

try to jogg about 30 min a day at least even if you go jogg 10 min 10 min and even going up and down the staris it helps a lot insted of using a lift use the stairs
do sit ups and crunches, I did that for a week or so and it really helped. like 50 each a day,it works!
