Are you going to do anything Christmas-y by yourself? Or will you treat it as just another day?

My parents are having my stepsister and I think my grandmother on my stepdad's side of the family over, but I'll most likely keep to myself. I don't like family get-togethers, so I try to find something to distract myself with until it's over.

So I'll be around people, but be off in my own world.

Well, I'm spending Christmas alone. I'm just staying home with the family. My long-distance boyfriend is just far away. Close to my heart but far from my eyes...

I don't feel bad about me spending Christmas alone; I'm working Christmas eve night and Christmas day night at a children's hospital, so I'll be spending the nights with kids that are too sick to go home.

I stole that from a song but it's true. I'm alright with my situation though because I'm not much of a holiday person and I'm enjoying the time off work and to myself. After I get bored of the sites I'm surfing I'm going to eat a bunch of food and drink more expensive beer than I usually drink. Ohhhh yeah!

I've had a messed up childhood to where holidays are not special. I'm cleaning a bbq grill as a gift for my stepfather. I mean, what could I possibly get for him that he hasn't gotten already. He pays more in taxes then I make in a year.
