The first prostate exam I had was done by a male doctor. Very painful and he was an arrogant jerk when he did it, to the point of almost being physically abusive. I immediately switched to a female doctor. There are brutal male and female docs, but I find female doctors to be more compassionate and yes, they also have smaller hands.
