Fiance takes it too far with football?

My fiance is a die hard Steelers fan. He has 2 tattoos of the team. I don't understand football but I am supportive of his choices he makes in life. But he won't let me watch a game with him because he said he doesn't want me to see the tense side of him. Ok, fine. My major problem is that he gets depressed for days when they lose. Now, that the Steelets will be playing the jets tomorrow, he has been so tense. He can't sleep or even have sex. I don't know what to do to help. Is there something I can do or say? Is he acting normal? He said he gets dizzy spells too because he is so nervous. Please help..

I love sports, and I was really upset that my team lost their "Play in game" to make it to the playoffs. But after about 5 minutes after the game I was good. In baseball, which I'm a big baseball fan as well, my team ended up losing in the playoffs to the team who won the world series. We had the games won, and screwed up. That got me so mad. But like with football, about 5 minutes later I was good to go. Also I was alone in my bedroom when this all happened. If my girlfriend was with me, I probably would just turned the TV off and followed her to the bedroom. There is always next year with sports. And some may say there is always tomorrow with your girl. But why the hell would I want to wait for tomorrow? hehe.. Then again I am in my sexual prime, according to the average age for men to reach their sexual prime. So that might judge my thought process a bit ;)

The steelers are an awesome team he needs to stop crying, I absolutely love the eagles and after they lose especially if it's in a dumb way I'll be pissed for like an hour at the very most and then just talk about it the next day with people, your boyfriend definitely has a problem, someone taking football that seriously is annoying. I doubt the players on the team are that mad after a loss, he definitely needs to grow up.

That's not normal. That's an obsession. A sports team shouldn't come before you which is what it sounds like. Tell him he needs to get his priorities straight. It's okay to love a certain team but when it comes to interfering with his daily life, then it's gone too far. He needs help of some sort.
