Is it weird for a girl to ask a guy how to play a sport?

I was joking around with this guy about how I would beat him at football but then I finally admitted that I knew nothing about football & then be was like well I could teach you but I don't know

When I said I was interested he started laughing & was like most girls aren't into that ? I don't get it is that good thing or bad thing and he offered to teach me how to play ?

It's not weird at all for a guy to teach a girl how to play a sport. Hell, I think I'd teach anyone anything if they asked me nicely and I knew enough about it.

The strange thing is the asking. A lot of the time, if a girl is weak at a sport or anything else, she doesn't tend to ask for the help - at least not in my experience.

There's nothing bad about asking for help. In any circumstances.

He obviously likes the fact that you're interested but thinks that you would have been a 'typical' girl because 'typical' girls don't like football. It's perfectly fine. You either like football or you don't.
