He said I’m his girl and he treats me like I’m his girlfriend, etc. But why doesn’t he ask me out?

It’s pretty much a long story but I’ll say the short version so y’all won’t get bored.
Basically I have this guy friend who all of the sudden started treating me like im his girlfriend. He started calling me my queen , my love , my girl , and etc all of the sudden. Before he would refer to me as babe or love or my love and even I love you as well, so it’s nothing new for me. But what I’m trying to say is he all of the sudden a few weeks back he tells me he loves me , he also told me I really like you , and a week after, he sent me a text saying “ my girl “ and I didn’t know what to say or anything I just sent him a heart emoji. After that text, he answers back and says you’re my girl” . But ever since that day, he started treating me as if we are a couple. But I find it weird because he didn’t ask me out, he just referred to me as his girl. I don’t know if I’m in a whole situation ship with this guy or I’m just getting played.

I can never tell how to read these situations when women tell me about them. When you sent him a heart emoji, what exactly did you think you were telling him? Because if a woman sent me a heart emoji after I told her I loved her, I would assume she was telling me that she loved me back.

From a man's perspective, I can tell you that he thinks y'all are already formally in a relationship. The fact you don't think so makes me strongly question what the feminine take on a situation like that is.

This was confusing to read. Instead of asking him to elaborate you sent him a heart lol which might give some mixed signals. Honestly, just ask him out and see how he reacts. But only if you actually want to date him. If he really likes you he’ll say yes. If he says no then you know he’s playing you or just way too affectionate for a friend in my opinion lol
