Honestly, the easiest way for you to lose weight will deffinitly be to drink Chimmarrao (Erva Mate) if you can't get ahold of it you could import but I think Green Tea would probably be quite similar. Erva Mate is extremely good at eliminating fat from the body and also has numerous health benefits too.
Some simple excersizes would be to carry on what you are doing, I am not so sure about walking. I think you should attempt to change that to a jog. Even if it hurts, its very important that you push yourself to do it. This is just how the whole process of losing weight/gaining muscle works, to lose weight you need to work towards feeling the 'burn' which is a very good indicator to know you have made a difference. The more you excersize towards feeling the burn the easier it will get to carry on, try to work towards always making your legs burn and make sure you drink plenty of water to flush out any toxins from your body and get plenty of rest to allow your body to recover. I think something that you could buy that is highly versatile would be a "resistence band" you can just use this to intensify the work outs you do to make them much more effective, for example, when doing push ups try to have it in your hands with the band going behind your back and push up from there.
When you work out one part of your body, you will notice overall you will lose weight elsewhere naturally but you should really look towards changing to healthy foods, change your drinks to water or other healthy kinds.
Every little helps :P03 Reply- +1 y
I just meant that it wasn't the "no pain no gain" thing. I get that from walking. If I jog it's the too much pain be dormant for days logic. lol That's why for now I consider walking a lot better. In a nasty way to describe my stomach is like a giant weight bouncing up and down which also causes me to be tired extremely fast. I know a lot of people think walking isn't enough, but it really is. What I always say is take your own body weight and wear a 75 backpack on the front and back and then

+1 ydude if you can get your hands on a mountain bike go bike riding. Its lower impact on your knees and joints...its actually good for your knees and it will help you loose weight if you go for a long bike ride. Its fun too and you can bike around some back roads and see more of the place you live around too. Don't over do it though...although you may feel that you don't look "good enough" and your sore as hell and want to work out just take a break for the day and do some stretching.
This is only half the battle the other half is NUTRITION. its actually the most important part because you can workout 7 days a week and go eat greasy, fatty, sh*tty foods and be the most unhealthy person or you can never workout and eat fruits and vegetables all day long and actually loose weight. I wouldn't suggest doing either but you get the point.
A word for the wise, don't expect fast results...there is no such thing, but as long as your motivated and you persevere you can reach your goal in 6-12 months. Good luck my friend. For real though- mountain bike.03 Reply- +1 y
your welcome man, and hey if you have a family member or a friend that you can borrow one do that. Its not hard to eat healthy man you just need to mentally train yourself to avoid greasy food and sweets. Chicken breasts are healthy and cheap so is brown rice, steamed veggies in a bag etc. Instead of snacking on pizza and hot pockets (microwaveable junkfood) start cooking up healthy meals.
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yI don't have my phone near me, it's charging, and I'm laying in bed watching Chelsea Lately with my Crest Whitestrips in lol...
Anyway, since running in my opinion isn't a good way to start working out since your cardiovascular system isn't up to par YET, you should aim for some other exercises that will get your heart pumping and metabolism up-
-Jumping jacks (Try for about 2 minutes at a time).
-Jump rope (Don't have one? Simulate the motion exactly and you'll be fine. Jump as far as you can vertically, as many times as you can and incorporate your biceps with a circular motion).
-Walking briskly or jogging at a very slow pace (Do whatever you can without getting exhausted. I had a really fat cousin and he lost all the weight by running and has kept it off. Of course it wasn't easy at first, but when you put stress on your body it adapts. It may seem impossible now, but eventually you will be able to run).
Keep in mind none of this really will make a HUGE difference unless you clean up your diet.
CONGRATS. :D19 Reply- +1 y
Thanks for understanding that my body can't just take running and as for the diet yeah you're probably right. I'm sure I'll lose something though. I'll just probably plateau a lot quicker than I want. At that point I'll work on diet. I think it's easier to get the exercise habit going first since I love food. Adding something I hate and taking away what I love at the same time I'm gonna like f*** that. I will stop eating fast food though except for Subway(if that counts as fast food.).
Opinion Owner+1 ySubway still counts. Don't go all or nothing with your diet and exercise. Go gradual or you'll plateau and lose interest/motivation like no other. If you want, I can pass along this Q link to my fitness buddies? They'd be much more adept at answering this for a male's body, etc.
Opinion Owner+1 yThat's okay. Overweight people lose weight really quickly in the beginning so you'll be able to tell. Make sure that you're sweating a lot but also drinking enough water.

I can definitely say starting out I'm gonna be pretty stubborn on the diet. I'm not ready to change that. It took me a lot of effort to get myself to walk today. Also the reason I said subway is because it's probably healthier than half the sh*t I eat at home. It's a lot better than pizza or hot pockets. That's for sure.
Opinion Owner+1 yHot pockets are expensive! You can buy fruits and veggies with that money lol.
Opinion Owner+1 yOh. Hear back from your interview yet? Well start out with like 2 apples, 2 bananas, some celery... Small increments, then EAT THEM and then she'll trust you to eat what you buy.
i'm a vegetarian, only drink water and the only exercise I do is stretching and walking,it works for me,since I eat more than my brother and father combined yet I don't gain weight.and how are fruits expensive? they can't be more expensive than pizza and meat.
you should diet, and try youtube for exercises, they're usually very simple03 Reply

What I'm about to suggest in relation to your walking will make you look like an idiot, but it works. Turn that walk into a brisk one and carry 2.5/5lb dumbbells in each hand. Bring the dumbbells halfway up and simulate the usual running motion you do with your arms (can't really explain it, basically what those older people do with brisk walks). It's good to add some extra weight so it puts some strain on your body, but not so much as a run.
You're doing alright with the strength training thus far. Do you want to add more dumbbell exercises to your routine? Check out Scott Herman fitness. Great youtube channel with a lot of exercises. He has some videos for starters without the use of weights/gym, and also a dumbbell video in the event that you do have some lying around. Do 1 rep of 5s to start off, then increase to 2 reps, then 10 sets, etc.
If you don't have dumbbells, you can grab one from a fitness store for cheap. Stick with the lighter ones for now. Or if you want, replicate dumbbell effect with an object that is just as heavy, say a litre bottle of water or more.
link00 ReplyIts all about calories in and out... you need to whatever you can to maximize calories being burnt while lower calories being taken in -- simple science.
So what moves will maximize your metabolism?
Squats (Can you smith machine and keep legs further out to minimize knee usage)
Deadlifts (usually some kind of machine if you don't want to use barbells)
you can keep with the pushups if you do them well
rows - can do seated
Make sure not to be afraid to use higher weights -- you are NOT going to "bulk up" if your diet is right -- higher weight = higher metabolism = more muscle = more fat loss
This should be combined with a low carb, moderate healthy fats, and protein diet --- cardio whenever you can.
Cardio I like? -- swimming -- full body cardio.

If you want to lose weight, then focus on your diet. That'll be the primary reason you put all that weight on in the first place, rather than just a sedentary lifestyle. Aside from that, any cardiovascular activity. Swimming, badminton, dancing. They all can be great fun too.

I'm only basing my answer on what I have read:

The real issue is peoples' portion sizes, ie the level of calorie intake. Most portion sizes in fast food restaurants are enough for two people. And everyone who I've spoken to who has visited America has told me it's much worse there. You'll still put on weight if you eat too many oranges a day (calorie wise). so it's not about the healthiness status of the food - +1 y
I'm not saying I'm going to continue the same portions, but wouldn't the same portions for years with a plateaued weight gain and adding exercise make you go down? Or are you saying it will rise so quickly back up that there is no effect from the exercise? I'm just saying I'm not ready to change entirely what I eat. Not how much. I can do that easy. You can do that for a couple days and you already notice a change in how fast you feel full. It's usually much quicker too.

+1 yThat is good. If you get a gym membership id give you a workout plan. Just message me. If you are going for just weight loss, muscle gain, or both, witch I would find most effective.
For your walks try to do short 2min sprits over the same distance and continue walking. Its great for cardio and burning calories.01 Reply
