They don't really have much pressure to stay thin, but they get a lot of pressure to have a six back and huge muscles. So it is a bit similar.

Its our society in America that bombards women in to thinking thst they have to look a certain way.
Commercials for weight loss and losing weight make us believe that

I blame the media telling women they have be skinny. If I was a women, I am sure there would be pressure from family and friends to look good and stay in shape. As a guy I don't need to have a six pack but want to keep on shape and be overweight.

I agree. I have an eating disorder that I fully know is only because of the pressure I am putting on myself. Everyone else compliments my body and guys love my body when I’m intimate, but for some reason for me it isn’t good enough and my opinion is all that matters

    Stop pressurising yourself then.
Most of us men just don't care so we don't really pressurise ourselves to get them abs and shit to attract whamen.

Because men are pressured to be tall, successful and confident. All of which are much harder criteria to be met.

Look at photos and videos of men and women in the 1930s and 1940s. That is how men should look. In those days we didn't have processed foods with preservatives and junk in it that is bad for our bodies. Plus our meat sources then such as cows and chickens then weren't force fed things to make them fatter quicker.

Its something you women bring upon yourselves. I find the most super slim women to be superficial. I like the ones that are a bit chubby personally. They are much more loyal and compassionate towards other people.

"for HEALTH reasons." This is never true. You cannot separate out the social conditioning you live with. What is defined as health is intertwined with social beauty standards.

I’m not sure that’s true anymore. Certainly I, and everyone I know, don’t like skinny women. My daughter has a bit of a thing about her weight, and had bulimia for a while. She’s still very thin.

Have you seen the beauty standards? They definitely put a pedestal ok female beauty. Every country has a different beauty standard and beauty standards vary from person to person but for specifically cultural beauty standards most of the time they’re unrealistic and force women to go to unhealthy extremes just to try and reach that standard of beauty. Just look at the corset trend that’s been coming back, corsets literally suppress your organs yet women still wear them in order to have that hourglass figure

The pressure for women to look really thin is not even hot. I honestly don't know why women obsess over it. Women are supposed to have a higher body fat percentage than men. Societal pressure to be underweight is just not good.
