What does it mean if I have ketones in my urine and I am probably anorexic?

I went to the doctor for my possible anorexia I don’t have diabetes but it says i hate “ketones, leukocytes, and cloudy urine” anyone could tell me what that means? I read leukocytes and cloudy urine could mean i have an infection but i had an infection from before and i know I don’t have a UTI or a yeast infection now! I am just curious i am sure i am ok.

You are not eating enough to get the glucose/ sugar your body needs to survive and function because you are anorexic. To get the glucose/ sugar/ energy it needs to survive, your body starts using the stored fat in your body. When the fat is used/ metabolized by your body ketones are formed. You are peeing out excess ketones. Excess ketones in your blood can also cause ketoacidosis and lowering of your blood pH. Your blood becomes acidic. One sympton of ketoacidosis is a sweeter than usual smelling breath. Some diabetics will get ketoacidosis, because their bodies do not have the ability to get glucose from the stored glycogin, so body fat is used up for glucose. They get real skinny fast. You need to see a doctor and get a blood test so you can monitor your blood pH. Acidic blood is not good.

Anorexia is a psychiatric condition, urine tests are not relevant, do you suspect nervosa, bulimia, or ED-NOS?,,,

Ketones are something to do with diabetes I think, if Dr didn't explain abnormalities or suggest further investigation I'd find another Dr, pref female as males can be dismissive of women's problems,,,

Probably should’ve asked the doctor. Only a doctor knows this. As someone that has had anorexia, your health will decline if you don’t get the help you need.

And also “possible anorexia” is not a thing. You have anorexia and are in denial.
