Yeah kind of know what you mean, about the team thing and maybe just general fear of it. I took rugby last semester, it lasted one class. Didn't even play, just heard the guy give a little peptalk about the game, and I was out. It wasn't really shaking in my boots type of fear, just kind of like "well I'm probably the only person here who doesn't know what the hell I'm doing, and I really don't feel the dedication that the coach seems to be demanding" so I dropped it. Even good players let their teams down on occasion, so I wouldn't be too stressed out over that. What's going to p*ss them off the most is you not putting forth effort. Just give it your all and then some. Basically break your ass doing your best, and the rest of the guys will probably appreciate it if they're any kind of decent people.

I just convince myself that I'm the absolute best and nobody else has a shot. When I start a race in track, there's no doubt in my mind that I'm going to win, even when I'm matched up against the top runners in the state.
i eat this beforehand: link :p
you'll be fine. once the adrenaline kicks in, and it WILL kick in, things will fall into place. nervousness/fear can be a great motivator. harness that energy. lots of luck :)

first of all, everyone gets nervous when theyre not prepared for something. so you will have to suck it up and show them what you got.
But afterward, ask a friend whos really good at rugby for private lessons.good luck! one thing that gets me pumped if I'm nervous about anything is to listen to some music that will get me hype
