Yes all the time. I have autism and working is super exhausting for me. We're moving atm and it's a huge house that we're cleaning. I worked Thursday, Friday full days. Then two days rest then a whole week but with some breaks for appointments that I had. And then yesterday we started working again and I couldn't do it anymore. I had to say I'm gonna work half days from now on. So it took less than 8 days to wear me out. I'm 100% sick according to my doctor anyway but I'm still capable of working a bit but not this much. A good workload for me would be like 4 mornings a week that's something I could handle it also depends on the work of course. On a PC I get worn out less but any practical work is a problem. Not just because of the physical strain but also I'm not good at focusing on the right things and using my energy efficiently. So I clean some things extremely thoroughly and take a lot of time and then forget about others or so.
When I was working full time in an office it didn't wear me out as much as this work but I still needed to call in sick regularly because I just couldn't make it through the week. I would wake up and just feel like I'd already worked a full day and was completely exhausted and I just knew I couldn't do it and on the weekends I needed to sleep so much because I was beyond my limits. Eventually it led to burnout, depression and suicidal thoughts and I had to quit.
I want to make youtube videos and get an education in IT because those are things I can see myself being able to work in at least part time but I don't think I'll be able to work full time at any job. It's just too much.

I've taken a mental health day from time to time, but never an "I partied too hard last night" day. I'm luck in that while I'm allergic to alcohol (seriously) it doesn't stop me having a drink, but despite going scarlet from head to toe and itching until I want to peel my skin off to make it stop, I've never had a hangover the next day.
I live with chronic insomnia anyway, so fatigue doesn't usually stop me either - post-covid fatigue being a different matter, and I can feel the difference.
by the way, seriously hot outfit 😍
I mean, if you're so hung over you're vomiting, you're sick in my books.
But otherwise, not for a hang over, no.
Should've drank less before a work day. That's part of being responsible as an employee - knowing your limit, and having fun within it.
Mental health day? I've done it before. I've definitely had days when I woke up and, judging by my morning routine, would be in no shape to be seen by or interact with the general public - let alone clients.
However, part of that is my diagnosed Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I definitely have times when I'm a bit out of it, and shouldn't be dealing with certain tasks, or can't perform other tasks particularly well.
I don’t even have a job and I’m taking a sick day just to rest

We have some people who suffer from "brown bottle flu". Not many as most have been fired, and the few left are likely to not last long. Putting yourself into the situation where you have to call in sick places the burden of doing your work (or share of the work) on others. You show others how little you care for them a few times and you will be gone.
Not because of a party the night before, but I once phoned in work to say I couldn't get outside my front door as there was a cow laying down outside stopping me from getting out..
I lived near a farm and they actually bought it. I went and played a round of golf instead. Ended up busting one of my clubs and the sole ripped apart from one of my golf shoes.
All in all, I'd have been better off going to work! :(No, and I have little to no respect for people who do. I'd honestly rather someone call in, tell me the truth, and ask to come in later or make up the time at a later date than to lie.
Also just another tip: don't EVER tell your coworkers when you pull a stunt like this. Even if you think they're your friends, they will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat. For work no between my love of money, my enjoyment and my self employment I've never called in sick unless I was
Missing a day of school or college because I was recovering from working, that happened more than a few times when I was in the restaurantToo much booze or?
I did go to work with a serious hangover when i was younger. And for me they last a really long time, about 10 hours. So the water machine became my best friend for that day.
Thankfully quit drinking at all 8 years ago now, one of the best decisions of my lifeAbsolutely, If you don’t then there is something wrong with you is the way I look at it lol Just don’t get into a habit of doing it then you might have to look for another job lol , We are all human and sometimes we need that me time
@SweetTay nah. But as a manger I love firing useless employees.
We get it, you want Horndogs in your inbox. Just stop attention seeking please.
This post is ridiculous it has nothing to do with sickness and is all about 2 sluts who need attention.
Yep especially when I was your age as I would get carried away and go way harder than I do nowadays

Lots of times. I had a good job that had lots of paid sick leave. I would occasionally call in sick just because I didn't feel like going to work.
Are you sick?…or just exhausted from all the “interpersonal fun” you had? 😛
Yes, many people have to take sick days, teachers do it, therapists do it, doctors take sick leaves cause of her baby was sick at home
Can the admins and/or the moderators start taking down these attention whoring posts. They have so many other social media platforms to do this, they need not bring it here.
I typically do once a month. I have been working 16 hour days an an intense manual labor job for over a year now. They keep saying it will get better but they haven't done a thing to make it better.
Yes doing that is part of healing it's very important to do it when you need it
The hell yeah more than once in my younger days. Its the evils of drink you know
I did it all the time. Sometimes I would go to the beach or do Christmas shopping.
Oh yes! I once took a day off after a very intense “party night” at a hotel with my ex and her BFF. None of us got out of bed until like, 3pm the next day
