I'm still a work in progress, so take what I say with a grain of salt. I'm currently trying to get back to what I weighed earlier this year around Feb when I was at my lowest weight (For reference I'm 5'6" and shooting for 140-145 pounds... currently in the 150s).
I noticed when I got to my lowest weight and [in my opinion] looked the best, was when I focused more on cardio than strength training, along with fasting... or eating less food in a day.
In my case, I'll have a really late breakfast, or large lunch, typically around 11-2pm, then something light before bed (ie: cereal, salad, smoothie). I'm currently experimenting with my diet to see what works best: cutting down on carbs, fats, or watching my portion size. Some days I do great. Other days? The scale hates me, lol.
Exercise wise, I mostly workout at home using youtube videos- I have several trainers on there I follow: Syndey Cummings, Jump Rope Dudes (jump rope is a great way to burn some calories!), Millionaire Hoy, MrandMrsMuscle... just to name a few! They usually have new workouts daily, or at least weekly, so I have plenty of variety.
In addition, I have a treadmill, battle rope, kettlebells, and other equipment at home so I try to change up my workouts to keep from getting bored. I'm actually going on a 10 mile bike ride after I finish this reply, so that will be my cardio for the day!
But honestly? I find running helps me burn the most weight- hence why I always find myself on the treadmill as my "go to" when I feel fat or bloated.
Also, LOTS of walking and getting steps in each day. I shoot for at least 8-10k steps a day, though the more the better. I am lucky enough to have a gym at my job, so when things are slow and there are no patients, I hit the treadmill or bike for 10-15 minutes so I'm not sedentary at work all day.
I mix it up, something different every day, but I try to do at least 60-90 minutes a day. I do yoga, running, biking, dance, weights, strength machines, martial arts, swimming, and I walk a lot. It all seems to be working really well, I'm toned and tight in all the right places and my stamina is great. I'm fairly tall and I guess you could say I have a dancer's body type, long legs, small butt and waist, but I have big boobs too, and everything works really well together.
Damn that sounds amazing
I make a real effort to manage my time so I can devote that 60-90 minutes every day and I find it works really well for me by not doing the same things each day. I feel great, I'm never tired and I don't actually "diet", but I do watch what and how much I eat. The good thing about it is that when I look in the mirror naked, I really like what I see, so it's all worth the stretch.
Here's some of my tips:
-Give muscle groups 48 hours to recover
-Rotate them but make sure you have 2-3 off days per week
-Train hard enough that you feel some discomfort in the muscles afterwards but if it hurts, you overtrained.
-Try to keep a 1:1 ratio of cardiovascular and weight training sessions.
-On different weeks, use different versions of an exercise (i. e. one week use the barbell for a bench press, the other use dumbbells).
-Try different cardio exercises on different days (i. e. running, biking, swimming)
-Try to consume 1 gram of protein for every pound of lean mass you have if you've trained your muscles that day, 1.5 grams per pound if you are training that day and have trained the previous day and.5 grams if you didn't train either that day or the previous day.
-While you need a certain amount of fat in your diet to maintain proper hormone levels, focus on intaking most of that ~24 hours before doing cardio (it puts your body in fat burning mode).
-Most of the fats you should consume should be monounsaturated but you will need some omega 3s as well. Limit saturated fats and avoid trans fats.
-Consume roughly 2.4 grams of starchy carbs per lb of lean mass ~24 hours before a strength training workout (low glycemic index the night before, moderate after you wake up and before you workout).
-Get carbs to fuel your base metabolism from vegetables before you do cardio and fruits after.
-Creatine can increase weight training performance and carnatine can improve cardiovascular performance.
Holy guacamole thank you!
I don't have goals for a body I dream of... I've just been into sports for more than 25 years, mostly soccer and football... so that has given me a more "natural" athletic body, it's a balanced one
the more I play sports, the more I eat, the more muscular mass I gain but it doesn't make me feel heavy which is something I hate, and which is the one reason I never go to a gym and I do not want to be all buff and full of muscles, I lose speed and agility, I lose skill
my priority has always been one, to have fun with the dudes and sports gives me that, it makes me healthier and it allows me to release stress and energy big time, and that's also priceless... that's something a gym would never give me, is just not my style to do repetitions and being alone with myself... that would give me a lot of time to think and I'd probably be thinking way too much about things I shouldn't
I love this answer and wow nice bod! The way you have fun with sports is how i had fun with dance up until a year or two ago. It kept me in shape for most of my life. I did ballet and tap as a kid. Then more of hip hop dance and stuff as a teen and in college. So it kept me in shape
Ha! The thoughts in my head is a great motivator for me lol.. I’m like “you want this? Puuuuush!!!” Ha
INHALE LOVE EXHALE HATE kinda push xD
lol... yeah, well... once on the field, I still want to win those games, we still push for it... but I rather make it about the game and focus on that, that's the fun part
Yeah kinda like the same but not. Aww do you play on an adult league?
@On_cloud_wine technically yes... since most are over the age of 18 years old, but is not an amateur league
they're organized tournaments and organized by the facilities I go to, or the spots... ages do range and vary but the majority of them are early 20 year olds
I love this. My aunt and uncle are on a softball league with like the same group of people for years.. they all go to the beach together.. like rent a 5 story beach house with all their kids.. they’re all like best friends. Sounds fun
Like coed teams. Are you on a all guys team?
@On_cloud_wine since it's soccer and football, some rugby... difficult to see coed teams nowadays
but we used to have some girls in our teams... in my early teen years
and then I really got into volleyball with college girls, when I was in my high-school years, also played some tennis with girls, and even kick-boxing
I've coached a lot of little co-ed soccer teams through the years... and one of them made it to a National Soccer Team (I'm not taking any kind of credit on that though... lol)
That’s impressive. So does your team forbid women to join or they’re just isn’t women volunteering to play? See.. I love to play sports but I get so bored watching them.. lol does that make sense? Haha
@On_cloud_wine it's not forbidden no... we just don't have women joining usually as these can be contact sports and we can get really competitive so, is just not that usual to see women wanting to join that
See on my aunt and uncles team, there are lots of couples.. having like minded hobbies and interests with your significant other is always a plus.. brings females in. I never thought of that
@On_cloud_wine well... for softball I can see that happening, actually that's how my parents met first... because my mother used to play baseball and softball with coed teams and my father didn't but he liked to watch her from the stands... lol
and, they were just telling and asking me about the baseball playoffs hours ago, but I am not into any of those sports
Aww. Flag football was my fave gym game
@On_cloud_wine I tried that one for a bit... it was really challenging and demanding, but we ended up going back to tackles
Oh my
@On_cloud_wine lol

My routine is very simple. T2 isotrainer (self anchored) with upright row, bicep curl to shoulder press, standard bicep curls, standing chest press, resisted squats shoulder raise, and overhead triceps extensions (against the bungee and friction). This unit is based on friction and a force multiplier. There is no rest for the muscles and you can modify the resistance as you train (speed up for less, slow down for more). When you add the bungee you also get the variable resistance (or isometric) that is similar to resistance bands. It's a full body routine. This with a calorie surplus has me on the way to the physique I've always wanted.
I've built muscle with this faster than when I used to lift weights, and there is near zero risk of injury and nothing to worry about like dropping weights. You can make any exercise where you can't even more the handles if you wish. Therefore you can never get too strong for this training device! I train one day on, and one day off.
My calorie surplus comes from drinking 150 grams of organic ultra fine Scottish oats with undenatured whey protein, plant protein, organic flaxseed powder, organic coconut milk powder, digestive enzymes, (Quali C) vitamin C powder, camu camu, Glutamite powder, creatine powder, organic sulfur, yeast flakes and nac n-acetyl cysteine powder. I drink this after each meal. I then have a teaspoon or two of Pure Gold Manuka Honey after the workout to replenish the muscles / body of energy.
Having good genetics. Eating healthy, drink lots of water (no other drinks).
sleep a lot.
having a peace of mind. walk a lot. Laugh a lot. Being happy…
my body was the same my whole adult life…body back to normal after babies (so anyone blaming weight gain after having babies… are lazy liars… lol)
till a few years ago… after I broke my foot. Now not as active. Then Covid… so I gained a little weight….
other than that … not need to waste money buying stuff when I can take control in an inexpensive way to look good and feel good.
I save that money to do other stuff I like.
Thank you for the info
Consistency worked for me. Whenever I stayed consistent, I lost weight. Before covid, I was legit a gymrat. I was in the gymrat after work 3-4 days a week. I did ab machine, leg press, multiple arm and back machines, bike and treadmill, and those damn battle ropes. I also walked home from the gym. I was down 100lbs. Gaining muscle. Booty was looking great...
And then Corona came her funky ass to town and ruined every fucking thing! 😭😭😭 I've gained back weight. Haven't seen inside of a gym. Routine is TRASSSSSHHHH. It's been such a struggle trying to get back. I bought a treadmill tho. And I started wearing my fitbit again and making sure to get 10,000 steps in. So that's something I guess 🤷🏾♀️😔
Yea i bought that bike and hardly ride the shit anymore 😭 We gots to get with the program
Definitely gotta get with the program. I'm finna go get my ass on the treadmill
I was lifting weights for a few months. I have a little bit of muscle but not much. Rn I just started jumping with a weighted jump rope. It's a good exercise that burns a lot of calories. I'm not necessarily trying to lose weight but it is a possibility I may lose some if I keep it up. In terms of my diet, I eat mostly vegetarian now. I'm a pescatarian so I eat some tuna and fish. However, your legs and your feet will be sore if you do this exercise. I wouldn't recommend it if you already have a pre-existing injury
I used to enjoy the jump rope long before i had D+ boobs. What size weights do you lift and how many reps? And my injuries have been healed for at least a year or two now
5 to 6 days a week of exercise between 1 hour to 90 minutes to include cardio, resistance and post workout sauna sits a couple times a week.
I drank water through the day, would eat a light breakfast like an apple or a bagel or fast until lunch. Lunch would be the first full meal then I would workout after work. My next and last meal would be after my workout would be dinner and a protein shake for mass gainer if I wanted to bulk.
Cheat days would be once a week and normally would have beer or one fast food meal those days.
Did that for a good year. Had strong abs, leaned and tone all over and felt great overall. Got a good amount of comments as well. Getting back into that routine now since COVID and broken ribs set me back hard.
Omg yes i wanna try a sauna! But i get headaches if i get hot so maybe i shouldn't. Damn one cheat day a week? I need Fri-SUN 😂
Sauna is nice, dry and steam both work. I had a faster metabolism a couple years ago. It slowed down a bit, but still is fast for me. Cheat days were fun, but I need to be more cognizant of them now.
I used to work out 6 days per week when I was younger and had more free time. I still work out, but not as much. At that time I drank milk and soda every day. 5 gallons of 2% milk per week, and 6 cans of soda per day. I ate deep fried potatoes a lot (hash browns, tater tots, fries), SpaghettiOs, hotdogs, hamburgers (home made not those soy burgers from fast food), I ate Pizza hut, frozen Totino's pizzas, and spaghetti. those were my most common meals and drinks. Oh and I ate chips too. like Ruffles, Doritos, Lays green chips, etc. At least one full size bag per month.
So you were still fit with all that?
Yep that was the days i had a fast metabolism
Other things in life can get in the way of exercising. I still exercise, but not as much as I would like to. I have been working full time and taking college classes more than full time too. 18 units this last semester while still working full time. Whew! I'll be glad when it is over.
Yea i been working 12 hours shifts, 6 days a week. Sicka dis shit lol
Right now I am following Hunter Chilton's workouts. She is amazing at explaining exercises and is not just a cardio bunny. Back in the day I was in the military and just did what I was told to do. The military way of working out is not the most effective way because it focuses on getting you in shape for a mission, not the peak of human fitness. Also, the NCOs are often times not adequately trained in fitness and just come up with random shit on the fly, which is part of the reason military people tend to get injured so much. As a result, I quit exercising completely when I left the military as I did not know what to do without a superior constantly over my shoulder. I attempted the gym several times but had no real clue what to do so I gave up and gained a lot of weight. I just stumbled upon Hunter Chilton's channel, tried some of her workouts and found them fun and now I'm almost back to my military shape and easily feel like I can surpass even that level of fitness.
Also, she is actually a certified trainer, not just some Instagram model talking out her ass.
I do kickboxing eight hours a week and haven't lost a single pound in three months. So I have given up ever having any kind of decent-shape body, let alone being six inches taller and having my dream body.
But good luck to the rest of you out there.
Damn i hope it works for me
I felt my best when I ate a vegan diet, ran 5K 6x week, biked 3x including 2 spinning classes, and Zumba 3x a week. Lots of water, plus my usual outdoor activities.
I looked my best when I didn't pay much attention to what I was eating, biked 7 days a week for almost 2 hours a day on a mountainside, swam everyday, rode horses 2x week for several hours, roller bladed 2x week, plus regular activities for fun.
I forgot to add free weights after running to my first list.
Yes zumba is like how i loved dance central and black eyed peas experience. Its such a good distraction and you dont even realize you're working out. I’d try to burn 500 calories every day or two just dancing alone. I slacked with drinking water though cause i didn't realize how important it was til later on. I loved biking. I consider a vegan diet but I don't know. Running is not for me haha. I want to get into minor weight lifting. Three of my friends are personal trainers but i dont think im ready for them yet. Hiking isn't my thing. Man i literally wanted to just blow a whole check on getting a large pool this summer cause i heard how good swimming can be in terms of exercise. I dont do animals lmao so no horseback riding for me haha. Rollerblading sounds awesome but im too clumsy and struggle with turning on corners 🤣 but man i love your answer
What about biking? That is really good exercise.
Yea i like indoor biking. You can read all mine above the pics :)
I did. I'm not graceful either. My advice is to pick up 2-3 different activities and have fun.
I only ever did a pretty standard workout. Lift some weight and do the same exercises everybody learned from school, just a lot of it, at least once a day, a few times on the weekend. I didn't change what I ate so much as I was limiting what I'd eat. I lost something like over 100 lbs over a year maybe.
I've gained a bit of that back since then 😂 but hey I'm comfortable. I can still walk a mile without getting winded, can still lift if the need arises, just not as good looking.
Damn 100 pounds in a year? Holy smokes. And yea I've gained and im very comfortable. But then i look at certain clothes in my dresser and miss being able to fit them lmao. I gotta get back
I doubt it would be as easy now. I was in my early 20s and worked my ass off to get there. Had the intended effect, too.
Yep once i hit like 24, that shit wasn't as easy anymore lol
Time is a bitch!
I get to the gym 4 or 5 days a week. I do HIIT for 45 minutes, I alternate between a stationary bike, elliptical trainer or stair climber. do abs for 15 minutes, lift for another 45 minutes and try to do 3 or 4 body parts. I do stretches between sets.
Daaaamn 👏
Working in the restaurant so spending hours on my feet in what was practically a sauna and doing a lot of squatting/bending down to reach undercounter fridges and such... my metabolism was running so fast I was losing weight if I didn't consume 5,000 calories a day
My arms are in good shape now I lift dumbbells (5kilos 100 times a day with each arm)
Dang my feet would be hurting
It's did hurt but the money was good so was free food and booze, the friends, my (albeit ex) girlfriend and other connections I made as well as what I got paid
2 hours 6 days a week
I only eat 12pm-5pm
No bread sugar, fast food chips. Some times I might have starches like sweet potatoes.
Jump ropes 15 mins
3 miles a day
Core exercise sit ups cruchs planks etc
Strength exercise- resistance bands
Dumbells, push ups bench press (sometimes)
Damn this sounds good. Im not a breakfast person so i can wait til 11 or 12 til eat. However, if i eat before 5, i feel like im starving. Like i HAVE to eat at 7 but will try not to eat after 8p. I can cut out soda but I don't know if i can cut out sugar. I like sweet tea and crangrape juice. I struggle cutting out bread and noodles. I love potatoes but hate sweet potatoes. But due to acid reflux I hardly eat those. I do wanna try jump roping again. I know for sure i can't so planks 🤣 I've always wanted to try resistance bands. Do they really help?
On the weekends I work out fri/sat/sun straight 2hrs. I'm doing 3hrs this weekends since I'm off might even do morning then go back evening.
I do all weekdays normally but will skip Tues and Thursday sometimes to catch up on things around the house like cleaning and laundry.
I love the treadmill ( I watch tiktok and YouTube while on it), rowing machine, leg press and ab machine
Damn i need to! But i usually “cheat” on Fri-Sun lol. Whats rowing machine? Sounds familiar
walking 2 miles every morning before work, protein drinks 2 times a day with snack bars and the eat whatever i want for dinner, then 10 mile bike riding 7 days a week at night
I never had goals to get a dream body. The most exercise that I do is walking. I have back problems so I don’t know what to do anymore since I’ve got injured at work 2 years ago. I’ve played soccer with the kids during the summer at my job, I’ll run away from like 15 kids and they won’t stop, gotta let them know that I’m tired
Thats honestly so adorable. When i helped teach my moms 3/4 year old class, they’d all tackle me too. Some would say they wished i was their mom or big sis. I was very flattered. This was early t2000s when i still was a kid myself. Those kids were great. I can't say the same about kids today. They make me feel like i dont like other peoples kids. So i can't wait to have my own
Diced potatoes, raw meats with no preservatives, and green veggies.
Any exercise, the only bad workout is the one you don't do. But I think high impact stuff worked best for me.
I've been slacking tho.
We’ll all get back
Lots of protein and heavy consistent weight lifting for me. I’m tryna get a booty and some sexy back muscles lol
Yea i wanna booty too lmao. And what kinda weight lifting
@Alyssa11 from your former descriptions, you already have a stunning booty, don't kill us with more lol.
Healthy, balanced eating including lots of lean protein (seafood, chicken breast), eggs, fruit & vegetables. And light on carbs and fats.
Yea i dont be eating enough seafood for one
I found following YouTube videos helped but than I got bored off them especially Chloe Tings workouts because she just done the same workouts over and over and there is only so many squats a person can do
Lmao i bet
Strict keto, no carbs, no alcohol and working out 6 days a week.
Best skin and best abs I ever had.
Oh wow
Eating one meal a day like a salad and exercising everyday just running, never missing a day. I lost 64 lbs. so I went from 187 to 123. It was unhealthy but it worked and I’d do it again.
Shit one meal a day? Is this a form of fasting or just part of being vegan? And wow i love that you never missed a day. I’d love to get back to like 130. Buti know i can't do the one meal a day part lmao. My tits dont wanna let me run lol. But i definitely need to get back on the track even if just walking. And yea my issue is skipping aday. I dont do anything on Fri-Sun
How long did it take you to lose weight?
Damn. I’d consider but its gotta be something that ain't salad lol. Closest thing i eat to salad or lettuce is fresh collards. Would that work?
Cut carbs!!! He'll nawl🤣🤣 I love bread omg. 🍞 but I know I really need to cut the carbs though so what do you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
@Uptowngirl88 well now I eat whatever but I’m a vegetarian. Back then I wouldn’t have breakfast or lunch and I would only eat at a certain time like 7:00 at night. My body went into ketosis and I started dropping weight. It’s a strict diet but the hunger goes away and you become more motivated after seeing the numbers go down on a scale. I weighed myself everyday.
Wow, girl kudos to you cause that's tough. I love meats but more so seafood meats. I'm looking into keto diet
Damn it sounds hard but motivating
For two weeks i ate nothing but fruit, baked meats and lots of water. I lost a lot in a short time. But shit i get tired of eating the same thing haha. So i’ll see what i do next
@Uptowngirl88 damn okay!! 🙌💪
@Uptowngirl88 I have gained weight because I stopped the diet. I recently started it again and lost 13 lbs in 3 weeks. I’m not as extreme as I was at all so it’s taking me longer. That’s why you have to reward yourself on the weekends and I promise when you see those numbers drop, that’ll be all the motivation you need to stick to it.
My workout is my job. I go up and down stairs and ladders all day. I must walk like 5 miles a day. I lift heavy stuff a lot. I do the military crawl in attics and crawl spaces. I don't need no excersize equipment
Holy smokes
Thought i had a new job until that last line lmao
A vegetarian diet Aerobic and Anaerobic exercises 6days a week and plenty of sex lol if what got me this type of body
Is that your bare booty in the pic lmao
Please dont remind me
Definitely liquid fasting, where you eat soup, ramen, and drink broth, juice, coffee, water... etc. i lost 30 lbs doing it for several months and was able to fit into a size 36... but damn my cheat days and damn tasty ice cream.
So do we just pee out the liquid? Cause liquid usually bloats me
My dream body was lost years ago. I just try to eat reasonably healthy foods and stay active.
Its all good :)
When I played football/soccer. I didn't do any special exercises. Just went to every practice. I ate anything I wanted.
Yep i miss those fast metabolism days. I think they stop around 24+ lol
Only if you stop with the routine. One of the guys that played football with me is 4 years older than me, but still looks the same, because he didn't change his routine.
Yep and thats what sucks. I let someone talk me into stopping and its so hard to get that morivation back. But when i see people like Ashanti doing her workouts, it motivates me to move again
Yeah, motivation is key. The manager for the local club is trying to motivate me to come back, and play for them.
Wow to play soccer?
Yes. He says they need someone that can play defense and offense. And that I was the first person that came to mind. I'd have to up my stamina of course.
Damn well i hope you get it but like how long do they expect you to play for
As long as I can lol. 😂😂😂 I don't know really.
I mean like are they expecting you to go long term like Ronaldo and Messi
Probably. I think they plan on me being there for at least 5 years. 😂
Welp i just died a little bit on the inside 💀 but if you get it, im happy for you
I haven't accepted it yet. Besides, it's semiprofessional, so...
I know how much you love the sport though
Free weights, general healthy eating and nutrition and martial arts.
What exactly is “free” weights
Okay just wanted to make sure haha
Cardio. I run ~20 miles a week. I also eat healthy. No sweet stuff, just protein, vegetables and carbs when I need to refuel.
I also lift a lot, but that's a new experiment
20 miles… hot damn
I currently only been doing some basic cardio but I been thinking of hitting the weight again.
Yea you just take it a step at a time
eat whatever tf i want lol, 100 sit ups 15x4 pushups, 5x3 pullups, 100 squats, thats what I do pretty much everyday and have done for a month
Damn that is amazing!! I like situps but all the others are hard af 🤣
Haha tell me about it I work as hard as I can
I box 2 nights a week too lol
Dang. Be my trainer already 🤣
Haha no problem lol
My workout has always been some combination of biking, running, martial arts and yoga. When I was running big distance it was probably the best I've ever looked.
High-intensity interval training three or four days a week, endurance cardio or weights on alternate days, combined with cutting back on carbs and cheesy foods works best for me.
I eat organic food and stay away from artificial sugar junk. Drink water.
I've been lifting weights almost everyday for over 10yrs consistently. I run daily every morning around 2 miles.
Hard work and dedication. Simple as that. Nothing outside of yourself will make you smarter, stronger, wiser, more attractive, or richer. It comes from within yourself.
Pullups and parkour and calorie counting. Plus a poopton of discipline.
Daaaamn parkour
Any type of boxing equipment. Because that’s my first form of fighting I learned. Lol
Yea im considering that
By taking Go-lo with working out by playing Wii Bowling and doing sit-ups and sometimes I do my work-outs in the nude. 💞
For me, it is peace of mind. My body loves when it is juiced up with peace.
Body is not the dream; dream is delicious foods ahahahah kidding but i think health is most important and my opinion as a MD our body didn’t created for very muscular or very fat or very thin so i recommend ideal height mass index
I find consuming less calories than I burn has allowed me to lose about 20 lbs.
I can't answer this until after we go on a dinner date
Lmao what
Mon- fri full body weight training
Mon-sat boxing, conditioning
Abs and core workouts mon-fri
Walking, eating small meals, sometimes fasting and drinking plenty of water.
Dumbbells, bench, calisthenics.
Damn whats that last one
Trying a workout and diet plan let's see how it goes.
Bodyweight
Huhh
Oooo mice
Mixed non group exercises.
Intermetant fasting.. a lot of cardio.. and sleep
Protein foods and building muscle that's tone
Weight lifting with heavy focus on legs.
Beats me. Never tried.
I sleep and scratch my ass
I do hot yoga,
Fencing and Biking
