It might lead to doctors being less helpful and willing to say or do anything out of protocols and us signing a declaration of some kind when entering hospital.
Hopefully it won't get to the situation when If I ignore someone drowning I am committing a crime (as already is), but if I save them I would be sued by them for saving them...
In the US, all states have rules that say you don't have to help some one. And most states have rules that protect you if you do help.
@AviatorTom I believe you are required to help someone. At least call for help. Without looking it up I remember hearing something called “danger out of your own negligence” or something similar.
Hopefully this will teach doctors not to play God, but I doubt it.
Just wow. We have ca close friends with the same condition and he compensates for his disability. He's a great guy and he's a valuable human being. It sounds like this woman is drowning in self pity.
In the US, a gynecologist/obstetrician is the highest sued medical profession because a person has up to 23 years of age to sue their obstetrician for their birth.

It doesn’t say she won the suit. She won the right to pursue it in court. Huge difference. Just wanted to point that out.
