Can eating a lot of butter cause acne breakouts? ?

So yeah I do consume a lot of butter on my bagle I think I take about 9 tablespoons of butter... Could that have caused my breakouts?

High levels of fats (all kinds) and sugar (in forms) have been shown to contribute to acne outbreaks. Some individuals are more prone to breakouts. I had splendid skin, until almost overnight when I entered high school - BLAM - zit-face! A couple years later, just as quickly it disappeared. but I digress - - - -

9 T of butter ( more than a whole stick ) = 900 calories. It will cause a lot more than just acne. Every four days, you will eat enough calories to add one pound of weight if you don't exercise it off. And that equals about 4.5 hours of brisk walking, @ 200 cal /hr.

Yes, dairy products can be a culprit, as can meats and sweets. You need not go cold turkey (no pun intended), just cut back some. Other ideas:
1. More veggies, they are filling and not acne inducing.
2. Enemas. Totally weird I know, but apparently they will clear acne complexions over time.
3. Apple cider vinegar, a shot of it cut (diluted) with a glass of water or a can of diet pop or something like that, preferably Stevia.

9 tablespoons of butter for one bagel? Holy smokes I’d be more concerned about my health and diet than about my skin at that point. But to answer your question, it can be more than butter breaking you out. Stress, poor skincare regime, not drinking enough water, hormones, etc can all contribute to breakouts.

I'm not stressed, I eat healthy and have good skin care, as for hormones its a definite factor but I don't have money or insurance ATM to afford a dermatologist so...

Doesn’t have to be a dermatologist, just a professional to assess your skin which an Esthetician can do, usually free of charge depending on their policy and it would just be a consultation. As far as good skin care, how do you know for sure that it is? What do you do? Eating healthy may not even be doing what you think it is, if you have any underlying allergy or eat certain things excessively. I’m currently in school (actually finished, just waiting on a state board date) to become an esthetician, so the things I mention can be factors that you may believe don’t play a role but may very well do.
