Trending & News I get a cup of cold cold water and then place it over my head and slightly tilt the cup.. letting it drip super slow on to my head as soon as I feel the cold I stop! let it spread through the head... feel the cold water spreading on the head and you can tilt the head to make it go different places
after a few moments... where you feel hotter or where you feel it's dry that the water didn't touch.. place the cup there and tilt again.. letting the cold cold water drip again slowly on the your head. As soon as you feel the cold you stop and let it wet your head...
I keep doing this until it's mostly cold or at least the parts I feel the hottest or where I feel pulsing pain..
you can slight wet your hands and then place them on your forehead and cheeks and neck.. making your skin moist with the cold water..
then take sips of the cold cold water..
That's what I do and I never use medication at all..
of course if I ever get tooooo sick and it doesn't come down I might take medication just to prevent anything serious happening to my brain from being too hot.. but this technique usually works for me
I usually get high fevers and I have a few methods, although I can't guarantee they're the best.
What I do is get a tub of really cold water and use a towel on the forehead. I would also stack up on blankets and 'sweat' it out. I find my temperature drops quickly.
The other method you can do is to 'shiver' it off. Sounds weird, but these were the methods my doctor told my parents to do to me as a kid and still now, and it works.
Make sure to drink lots of water (I usually drink nicely hot water) and don't put yourself under a lot of stress (work, gaming, etc.)
Your fever is a byproduct of your body's battling an infection... such metabolizing generates heat, that your body's trying to shed. Simplest approach is a 'cool' not COLD shower or soak in a tub.
Go TOO cold and you'll trigger your body's survival response and begin to shiver as muscles involuntarily convulse to draw and preserve body heat to your core. You're looking to consciously provide a semi-permeable membrane of your skin surface to allow heat transfer. As a medium, air... compared to water or even just a damp surface (evaporative cooling)... SUCKS. Ever hear that admonition, "Let's get you out of those damp clothes..."
Fever is not bad, it indicates that the body is fighting whatever you have. It's important to stay hydrated, drink plenty of fluids, since you will sweat a lot, and the fluids help the body's immune system work. Ibuprofen won't help with lowering fever, it will make you more comfortable. Take your temperature regularly and make sure it doesn't get above 103F (39.4C). If it does, call your doctor immediately.
Ipobrufen just lowered my fever to below 37. 9 degrees from 38.8 so it clearly works.

You really should be taking Tylenol. You should not be under anything more than a sheet in the bed. I've packs should be placed under the arm as well as the groin. Drink plenty of fluids.
My mother would give me a (rubbing) alcohol rubdown. The evaporation cools you down quickly.
1. Warm water scrubbing, after scrubbing with warm water, the small blood vessels of the skin will expand, and the body temperature will be used to evaporate the water, taking away a large amount of heat to cool down. 2, 35% alcohol rubbing bath, alcohol can dilate blood vessels, it will take away a lot of heat when it evaporates, and it can help to cool down when you have a fever. 3. Drink a lot of boiled water, and a lot of water can also promote the timely elimination of waste. At the same time, timely replenish the water loss caused by high temperature and sweating. 4. Use an ice pack for cold compress, put it in the refrigerator, take it out from the gel state to a solid state, wrap it with a towel and apply it on the top of the head, forehead, neck, armpit, groin, etc., it can quickly bring the heat.
Advil is good for swelling. However, certain people can't take Advil. Drinking a lot of fluids, depending on if you have the chills wear a blanket, get to bed early, EAT! something like Soup (it has a lot of sodium/electrolytes), and drink something like coconut water (It is PACKED with electrolytes).
Fevers can cause dehydration
Hydration will definitely help. This is what I use trust me it works.
—Drink Pedialyte (a must)
—eat chicken broth or noodle soup
—take a dose of Acetaminophen and then for the next dose take ibuprofen instead (dosing is on the label)
Ice pack around your neck, rubbing alcohol rub, it helps cool the skin as it evaporates quickly.
If you live in the Great white north you can sit in a snow bank.
Hopefully it will break quickly.
Do not overload on ibuprofen/tylenol as those can be hard on your system.
Hydrate, water, not caffenated beverages.
Vitamin c and d may help.
Rest.
Ibuprofen isn't made to work for fever, it's for reducing inflammation. Try plain old aspirin, and keep flushing your system with water. I used to try and burn my fevers out by wrapping up in sweats, sweatshirt with a hood or blankets, and eating hot salsa and chips! LOL Sometimes it worked!
Just keep hydrated and use a cool compress. Fever is fine as long as it doesn't go over 39.4c (102.9 f) that's when you should seek medical attention. Otherwise it's just your immune system trying to fight something.
Make a snow angel while nude.
Cool bath, but I wouldn't do it unless you get too high, like above a 102.
It makes me want to cry
If you get above 102, head to the ER as it can be dangerous but fevers are actually killing the virus or infection faster. If you lower it, it drags the sickness out longer or can.
They are too dangerous
icepacks, cold baths/shower, not even cold, just lower than body temp. It doesn't need to be uncomfortable. dont insolate yourself. Your body is trying to heat up to kill whatever is inside you. Best of luck!
Aspirin is an antipyretic... fever reducer.
ibuprofyn does not do that.. either does acetaminphyn.
take aspirin. Buffered is easier on your tummy.
also, put an ice pack on the back of your neck. it will cool down your entire head
Dont ask nor take medical advice from social media, your body is unique, your fever and the causative is unique, the medicine you will take is unique, only a qualified medical practitioner can answer your question.
Cold bath. Throw some ice in there, too.
It's gonna fucking suck for the first few minutes. Be ready for that.
I know I done it before, it scarred me
How high is high? A fever is your body's way of fighting off infection. Unless the fever is causing a lot of discomfort or affecting your cognitive function I would just leave it and make sure to drink plenty of fluids.
Try some vix vapor rub, it's the Hispanic treatment to a lot believe it or not.
It's lovely
@themajesticking777 Vick Vapor Rub is the best!
It's a masterpiece, I don't know who invented it but it's so useful
@themajesticking777 the ones in the Indian grocery is 100x more powerful
Foreal? That's good to know
drink a ton of water but be careful not to drink too much. if your fever is very high and isn't going down though, you should definitely see a doctor
Tylenol/acetomenophen, I don’t think Advil/ibuprofen works for fevers.
It works very well actually
Yeah, you’re right. I looked them up and they work about the same on fevers. If one isn’t working though maybe try the other.
How high is the fever and how long have you had it.
It's gone for now
look on Google but you should wear loose fitting clothes and drink water and not cover yourself much and also make sure to stay away from people and wear a Mask and also use cool towels , but also ask for a covid test.
Acetaminophen is my go to fever reducer. 2 500mg tabs. Ibuprofen doesn't do anything for my fever. Feel. better. and you can take Acetaminophen with Ibuprofen... they are different classes of medication.
Take 2 Advil or something like it as it seems you did , keep hydrated and covered up since your body is fighting something. You might need antibiotics too, hope it’s not Covid
It's not covid
Well that’s good at least
It's 37.7 degrees now. Not so bad
I guess that’s normal in Celsius, I only know 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit is normal here
Some cool chicken soup, and go to bed. A cool bath might help too.
Acetaminophen followed in an hour by Ibuprofen, with plenty of water.
It depends, sometimes medicine will help. Sometimes a wet cloth or a cold bath. It depends on the situation but I’ve had to use all of those remedies at one point or another.
Drink a lot of water. Rest... Sleep... let the fever run its course... jump off a cliff (not really! please don't do that)... Eat things with zinc, corsatin, vitamin C and vitamin D.
I usually drink some Theraflu orange juice and water to get rehydrated to fight of a flu. If that doesn't get ton of rest and get some vapor rub to clear up your sinuses.
Cold shower is the best solution. Sorry to hear that, get well soon!
No suggestions, just checking on you. Are you feeling better?
My fever is back om
Go to a doctor if you haven't already
I am going tomorrow
When I had covid, my fever only lasted for a couple days. Given that you never mentioned anything about covid and that you are not me, I cannot be so sure but that is what happened with me.
Over the counter strong fever reducer. Ice packs and cold baths. Plenty of water. Rest. Cool washcloth on forehead. White sheets and linens, sweat it out.
Fevers need to run their course. Your body is fighting a battle. Wrap up, snuggle down, and wait
I'll burn alive?
Take a cold bath and put ice in the tub. It’s uncomfortable but it will bring the fever down.
Drink plenty of fluids. The more water you drink less fever you will have.
Take 500 mg paracitamol and cold ❄️ water 💦 pads on your forehead
Paracetamol is weak
Not weak
Try it
I did and it didn't get rid of my fever
Best thing now is injection
I have an appointment with doctors soon
Acetaminophen
What?
Acetaminophen
Injection for fever 🤒
They obviously won't give me it
Dr will decide what you need
I have to do a pcr test and if I am negative I have to see them
Okay 👍
The short answer is that you don't. Now if it's high enough to be concerning it sucks but take an ice cold bath.
Take paracetamol 650 or 500, avoid ibuprofen as much as possible
Why?
Get a check up from a doctor
Ibuprofen tends to block immune system in viral related fever
It nearly completely reduced my fever
Don't take paracetamol more 650 to 900 anymore it will affect your liver
Paracetamol is crap
Wrap those towels around some ice cubes and put them on your neck and head.
Tylenol and ibuprofen can be mixed. my wife is a dentist and that is what she prescribes.
I took ipobrufen and paracetamol (Tylenol) and ipobrufen works better
You can take APAP together with ibuprofen. They work in a synergistic manner.
Sweat it out. Drink a crapload of water and go to bed, change sheets twice a day
Oregano with chamomile & rose tea then lots of rest
cool bath
although now its 17 hours later, i hope you are ok...
You need to check up with your Doctor to be on a safe side.
1. Paracetamol
2. Rest
3. Doctor
I take 2 doses of paracetamol 500 mg.
That's what I do
You took 400 mg ibuprofen
I took 800mg of ipobrufen 2 days ago
I am currently on 1000mg of paracetamol
Usely Asprin or if you drink some whiskey
i start with ice water , that helps me
Ice packs and plenty of fluids
Sounds like you have covid
Take fever reducer instead of pain killer
By swallowing lots of cum 😜 😉
Drink plenty of water and sleep
Cool bath or shower.
pray to jesus
Hot Toddy
Ice bath
