Why is it OK to put down skinny girls?

I see posts on here saying skinny girls can't have curves or that we have bodies of 12 year old boys and it makes me sad. people say that having a small chest, small butt and thin thighs is bad, but when someone says being fat is bad they get yelled at. I'm sick of it.

Because people are jealous. I completely agree with you, it's like smaller girls get punished for taking care of themselves but when someone goes, "Am I fat?" God forbid you say yes because then you turn into a b*tchy girl with an eating disorder who looks like she hasn't hit puberty. Funny thing is thought for all the girls that claim to love their curves or like the few extra pounds they have they all seem pretty anxious to lose weight so they can fit into a size 0, 2, or 4. Guys will complain about small boobs and say there's nothing there but then complain that big boobs are saggy. While I'd rather have B's than the A's I have I'd rather have perky A's than saggy DD's. And personally I like being able to wear skinny jeans and leggins without looking like they're just barely containing me

It isn't okay to put down anyone.

Don't get me wrong, I have caught myself thinking or saying that a thin girl has no boobs, and I realize I am perpetuating the same hatred that curvier girls have received.

The reason I have done it before, is that I notice many thinner girls getting more praise, ones that may have big boobs and an ass but have nothing everywhere else. I'm built more like Hayden Panitierre, so whenever I see a different shape I am pumping that one up because its the rare occasion I see my body type glorified.

Where some get concerned, and I know I get concerned, when they look so skinny that they actually look sick.

Im sorry that you've gotten crap for being thinner. Its not appropriate on either side to be ridiculed for your shape.

There's nothing wrong with skinny girls! People generalize that if you're skinny you're on some form of diet or do it purposely because you favor being thin instead of being thicker. That's not necessarily true since women come in all dofferent shapes and sizes. Being skinny used to be popular and more liked, but nowadays people are trying to get other women comfortable with their curves so thicker, curvy bodies has now become "in". Keep in mind that chunky women used to be favored back then since it was a sign of wealth! Don't worry about what people say about you, it's not size that matters.

IMO it's not OK to make fun of people. if someone is an unhealthy weight then they should be talked to by their close friends and gain/lose weight until they are healthy. but big girls pick on skinny girls like us because they are jealous. I have gained weight and it requires no hard work and dedication. my highest weight was 105 lbs at 5'0". I know, bad. I looked a little chubby in my legs and stomach. however, losing weight is a lot more difficult. I changed my diet and worked out more and now I am about 95-98 lbs with 15% body fat. pretty good I'd say and I feel like I lost a little more weight recently. hard to know because my old scale doesn't work anymore. don't change what you look like, you'll live longer than the fat girls who will have health issues because of their size. just stay at a healthy weight, being underweight has just as bad of health issues. hope this helps!

Honestly...iiiii think that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." skinny people don't need to be attractive to EVERYONE! just like thicker girls shouldn't be attractive to EVERYBODY! in reality the only person you NEED to be attractive to is your man! lol. I'm 4'9" 128(I'm on a diet) My butt is HUGE and I'm a 32C! Some guys I've dated have LOVED that! Some guys have hated it because it "attracts too much attention." so yeah. People are different. And it's never OK to make fun of peoples bodies it doesn't help they're self esteem. When I was a child I was 4'9" 150 in 6th grade and got up to 195 in the 10th grade. Then I noticed I had no boyfriend and decided to lose weight. And fat is a harsh word. Chubbys better.

it depends on how you ask the question. if a fat girl comes on here and complains about skinny girls, then guys will react positively to her by saying fat, or curvy as they like to say, is better than "anorexic girls"

meanwhile if a skinny girl feels depressed about being skinny, people will sympathize with her by making fun of fat people.

or a girl claiming to have exotic curves, but not fat, will say oh I have such an amazing body yet skinny girls seem to get all the attention in the modeling world! HELP! and then a bunch of people say how awwesome curves are to skinnies lol.

Well first of all, every guy has different tastes so just because one guy says one things and another guys says something different, that doesn't mean they are cutting down women...they just have different opinions.

Secondly, you have to tell the girl you're with that her body is perfect and other girls' bodies are sh*t to make her feel good. If I'm with a skinny girl, I obviously can't tell her I wish her boobs were bigger...

Yep. Double standards suck. Lots of guys on HERE put down thin girls but in real life, I hardly see any guys go for bigger girls. I'm petite, 110 pounds, 5'5", small boobs, and a small gap between my thighs and plenty of guys I know say they like my body type. But guys on HERE put down girls with my body type. But anyways, I've had someone tell me I need to eat more so I told her she needed to eat less and she got mad at me...I thought it was funny. Lol just ignore the haters

I have been told so many times by a lot of people that I am so thin. I'm just naturally skinny . I don't exercise at all and I eat all I want whenever I want and I don't gain a pound. I always feel really bad when someone bigger then me comments on the fact that I'm so skinny and they think I'm that way on purpose. Some people even think I have a mild case of anorexia which really gets to me because that's serious. That's why I try not to judge a person because of how they look on the outside because its not fair to that person.

Not true at all. Some girls are unable to gain weight. I'm naturally thin, and there isn't anything I can do about it. I've tried to gain weight and nothing worked. All I did was tone up a bit.
