Yep. Got put under twice- once to have my gall bladder taken out and once after by intestines tried to escape. I don't ktow what or how much of it they gave me, but the first was under controlled circumstances, so it was smoother and I recevered faster (coming to in the recovery room, I remembered that the most likely complication was them having to go open, so they'd have to hit me again, and I'd come to the next day. The first thing I said to the nurse was "Is it still Wednesday?", which made her think I was WAY looped out, instead of almost normal.)

The second time was as emergency situation, and I didn't so much "revive" as "claw my may iack to awareness".

I had it twice and I just hada total hip replacement and I got a spinal. I did not feel a thing, have no recollection of it and the recovery was much easier.

Three times: once to set a broken ankle, once for elbow surgery, and once for wrist surgery.
