Can you share your experience and what it was like..
Okay, but I doubt you'll find it very impressive. I was going in for surgery, and when they moved me on to the cart (which was weird in itself; I was still completely capable of doing it myself), they then stuck me with an IV leading to whatever the anesthetic was. I quickly got woozy, then tired, and started losing track of where I was and what I was thinking, like when you're on the verge of falling asleep. Full unconsciousness is different from sleep, since you CAN'T be woken up, but obviously that's not going to affect a surgical situation. Coming to isn't quite like waking up, though; that was the only real difference I experienced. It's still gradual, but it's a bigger leap.

When I had shoulder surgery they knocked me out with propofol (sp) It worked in only 15 seconds and it was a great nap!

Yes, it was slightly scary but better than being awake for heavy surgery.
Yes, I was under for 4 days, but when I woke up it felt like 5 minutes.
Nope... short time for surgery.
Nope. I only experienced local anesthesia.
