Yes! When I was seventeen I had to go under anesthesia for surgery and I asked my anesthesiologist if he was related to a famous feminist cause they had the same last name. He was horrified lol.

Yes the doctor asked me if I’m ready for the best sleep in my life.. in 3 2 1. I woke up 4 hours later thinking it was only 5 minutes 😂

A girlfriend of mine was the exact opposite - out for 2 minutes and woke up thinking it was a full night's sleep. It's weird, I guess it messes with your brain!

omg same. i went under when i got my wisdom teeth pulled and it literally felt like only a minute passed.

I haven't been under general anesthesia, but a few years ago my mom went underwent surgery and I was the lucky one left to stay with her after she got out of the OR. Once they got her out of recovery and into a room, the nurse whispered to me "she's still a little loopy." I said no, probably not, "loopy" is her natural state most times lol. She'd fallen back asleep for a few minutes, then woke up, looked at me, and said "the nurse who just left is way too thin, she needs to eat." I told her she was slender, but the nurse looked fine to me. No matter how the conversation went, my mom kept bringing up the slender nurse and how it looked like she needed to gain weight. I could not get her off the subject. When the doctor came in to give her the report of how the surgery went, she gave him an ear full about how they needed to take care of the nurses; they looked malnourished and needed food. When the doctor left, I followed him out to get a private word with him. I told him my mom likes to feed people. She thinks everyone needs to eat. I tried to change the subject when I got back in the room, but she told me to "go get those girls some lunch." So I did. When I was leaving, I went to the nurses' station and asked what they wanted to eat, that my mom was worried they were starving to death and they needed to eat. They said it wasn't necessary, but I told them to please let me buy them lunch or none of us would hear the end of it. And when I brought the food back, I told my mom mission accomplished. They had been fed. All of a sudden, all was right with the world. Then she changed the subject and asked me when I planned on having kids lol.

Nurse here! I have a funny story about a patient coming out of anesthesia.

During a clinical rotation while I was in school, I heard yelling in the room next to mine and went in to find the patient standing on the bed naked with an IV pole swinging it at my CI and the other nurse.

I was standing at the door when the attending physician stood next to me and said "I wish we could give sedatives with a blow dart gun".

Best part of this whole situation though, the patient was actually a physician at that hospital...

I was under but awake as poking my brain 🧠. Brain doesn’t feel anyway. 3 guys (my 20 year doc and surgeon). Watch this trick…touch part this happens. Locker room mentality for sure.
