Help how do you cure an itchy throat with coughing? how long does itchy throat infection lasts?

since yesterday I had bad itchy throat that would make me cough nonstop. Cold air cold drinks or fans would stimulate me to cough& get itchy. My itchy throat & cough was gone all day as I took robutussin for kids a dietary supplement thing. Very strong & worked! However tomrow I’m going to the doctor & won't retake that tomorrow so the doctor can see me coughing. I have a lot of pghlem to point I can’t speak have raspy. Voice. Here it’s super hot & I was driving with windows down in car & that made me sick.

Well, it's good of you to see the doctor, what works for me when I get an itchy throat is apple juice, or honey lemon tea.

If it lasts more than a week you probably need to take antibiotics. Otherwise your immune system should take care of it. You can gargle with soluble aspirin for the pain (if gargling is something you do).

it'll probably get better when you sleep. i always keep honey in the house
