Can a neurosurgeon diagnose personality disorders?

is that today I had a consultation with the neurosurgeon in the hospital for spinal pain but suddenly he said that he had noticed something strange in me and that I was a manipulative person and I even asked my mother who accompanied me because of my behavior and in the end I left with a diagnosis of a personality disorder.

Yes. Since a neurosurgeon is a physician, they can diagnose a personality disorder. However, it isn't something that neurosurgeons normally do. (At least I don't think they normally do.) It might be considered to be outside of their scope of practice. You can get a second opinion maybe?

If a MRI brain scan was taken then there is confirmed evidence as they have linked some disorders with brain section showings…

Any doctor can diagnose a personality disorder. However, it is best to refer patient to a psychiatrist.

Yes, but I would probably get opinions from other professionals on the matter. Like a psychiatrist, other neurosurgeons, etc.
