I've never tried to lose fat, or I just didn't have to... I've been playing sports for about 25 years

but if it counts, my favorite sport to play has been soccer... it is very complete as a work out

      well, congratulations!!

whatever you try, I would recommend to also add some swimming, it is low impact exercise, but it will definitely make you burn plenty of calories and it can also help with conditioning, relaxing and few things more (given that you actually don't hate swimming for some reason, lol)

    Matt work.

I paid 2k for a personal trainer at LA fit. And we ignored the millions in equipment and did burpees and leg raises. Never was more exhausted after.

The best fat burning physical exercise is swimming. Its a full body work out and low impact... next is cycling or stationary biking. I do both, and I am not into building muscle mass. I just want to look lean and toned. But not everyone can swim laps in a pool, and it takes some technique and stamina to do it right. Biking takes some time to get used to. Yes your ass will hurt, at first so just do about 30 minutes once or twice a week for the first few weeks or until your tail bone builds up some resistant.

Both of these are low impact... lots of people like running and jogging but its hard on the joints. Yes its the easiest thing to do, but I don't have the runners frame for it and my knees start to hurt.

Running is my least favorite but we have a pool in the neighborhood so I should go during the day when it’s empty.

For faster results, weights and HIIT. Weightlifting helps lose weight because your metabolism is increasing due to a lot of energy in your body being used to build and maintain muscles so it's not being stored as fat and if you eat at maintenance you will lose fat. HIIT is a great way to rapidly burn more calories in a short amount of time and that helps in losing fat too.

But when I'm not in the mood for anything so intense, taking long walks and hikes is hard to go wrong with if you do it consistently!

Lower weight high rep circuit training, 30 minutes pretty stressful cardio, stomach twisting/waist exercise and side bends etc. No up/down stomach movement. Spread that out sensible and remove carbs then you will lose 12-15lb in month. And your muscle line will start to come back. Don't sit at home-yard household etc... chores Good luck !!

In my experience, consistently doing lots of squats helps. Like do a couple sets of 50 reps 3 days per week. Do that for a few months and I'm sure it will work. As they get easier, increase the number of reps per set, eventually getting up to doing two sets of 100 reps.

HIIT with weights (basically cardio and strength training combined), and of course running!

Jump rope is good too, but I don't do that as much as I used to

playing disc golf on the desert course where I live. It's intense, man. lmao. There's lots of good ways, but it's always best to do the ones that you can find enjoyment from while you do them. I hear jerkin' off is good cardio, so i do it for hours and hours but the pain might not be worth the gain for that one. 😵

Exercise is actually not an effective way to get rid of fat. You will have far better results simply by changing your diet. Reduce your caloric intake below 2000 calories a day.

@MrReliable12 No, this is what your doctor would tell you. People lose very little weight by physical activity alone. Every study on this ever conducted has proven this. Yes, we all have opinions. But, that doesn't mean we should take your seriously.

@MrReliable12 I'm an Anesthesiologist. The educational background and qualifications necessary for that profession should be evident.

Granted, nutrition and fitness have little to do within my specialty, nevertheless, all physicians understand the biochemical factors that account for weight loss.

There is no disagreement within our community on this point. You have to burn more calories than you consume for there to be any chance of weight loss. Most people show a paradoxical effect with exercise alone in that they gradually gain weight back even though they kept with their routines 100%.

You could of course search for studies like this yourself.

I agree with that as I’m a a physiotherapist. I’m not sure that anybody is saying that exercise alone is the answer. It is quite clear that there is a holistic approach to being healthy. Exercise, diet, psychosocial and environment factors take a huge toll in longevity. Especially if we consider what is happening to our telomeres.

Being sick or something worrying me affect my weigh. No exercise needed.

At thebend of a month of fasting I lose around 3 kg. Even though I eat well.

I lost a lot of pound by starving. I have tried walking, no carb, meat only diet, fasting at night, diet pills, diet juice, etc nothing works. so I stop eating for like 12 days drinking only Diet Coke Zero and diet a&w root beer. I lost 22 lb!
