I came to the conclusion that my purpose in life is to make others feel good about their lives because I suffer from a chronic illness and erectile dysfunction.
People who truly suffer often tend to try and make the lives around them more bearable cause they don't want others to feel what they feel. Life though, always finds a way to make everything worse, it could always be worse, but its the least comforting thing to hear sometimes too, depending on how you use it. I think it's important to some degree at least to not downplay the pain of others.
Like one example that was often used when I grew up, was the whole "at least your not a kid in Africa". I often thought about it, how simpler life would actually be, if all you had to focus on, was surviving food wise, I actually think I be happier than I have been in life. Like sure, either I die or live. But in this day an age, society is so complex. The more evolved society gets, the more complex issues you have as well. Everything is in grey areas, nothing is like black or white, a million ways to do things, but none makes sense.
Either way, if life is hard for you, life is hard for you. I don't think any of us will escape this hell hole unscathed anyway. We are born to be traumatized.
Not everyone Will have a happy ending to their life journey. You have to find small happiness here and there and play with the hand you are dealt. Unfortunately, you may have “chosen” the wrong parents.
