Keto my far for me has certainly been by far the best , and certainly makes the most sense , if you look back at the history of fat individuals , now Obese , for the most part its processed , added sugar , fast food , complete unnecessary carbohydrates , there is just no need for all those carbs , they simply serve no purpose.
I was never fat , but I felt sloppy , it wasn't right , I took on the Keto lifestyle which also includes plenty of exercise , which I always did anyhow , I eat ZERO fast food , and Zero processed food , I lost 15 kg , and more importantly EVERY life measure improved , I take no pharmacy products , every measure is better than when I was finished with football at 32 . And have maintained that for 18 months.
BUT , its important to point out , its not a DIET , its a completely lifestyle , and what you are avoiding in pretty dam obvious to avoid , and to understand the complete dangers of processed sugar , this is not some " fun " food , its a Industry that is set out to addict us all , and we feed this sht to children. Just an horrendous conspiracy , in the so called name of " fun " and laughter , its killing you , slowly. May as well suck on a durrie and speed things up.
Depends on you as boring as that sounds.
Some people are better at controlling what they eat with a narrow time window, like with IF. Some other people use it as an excuse to gorge themselves on junk and manage to consume 3000+kcal even in 2-hour time windows.
Some people are good with 1MAD or 2MAD. Some people really do become lethargic if they skip breakfast.
Some people respond better to high fiber. Some people have digestive problems if they go too high in complex carbs.
Some people respond well to keto. For me, it is like endless heartburn with all the fats involved. I work better work high protein, moderate-low fats, and only complex carbs. I'm not saying the keto people are wrong if it works for them. I'm just saying I got a sensitivity to loads of fat, especially animal fats.
But most of all I think if you haul your ass and try to become a real athlete, you can't afford to be "wrong" with your diet. You can't be wrong in your diet when you can actually do 20+ pull-ups and later muscle-ups and do backflips. So I think the real answer that most people don't have the ambition to pursue is to become athletic because most people only have the loser mentality of "losing weight".
If you have a truly athletic goal, you will find your diet that works for you -- the one that makes allows you to do 20+ chest-to-bar pull-ups, backflips, planches, set PRs on your deadlifts, PRs on your 100m dash, PRs on your long-distance times (never been good about this), defeat your toughest opponents in the ring, whatever it is you wanna do.
So for me the biggest problem is that most people seeking to lose weight don't dare to dream big. They wanna lose weight. They wanna get a body by summer time that they don't want to be embarrassed about in a swimsuit. This is pathetic.
These are plebeian goals of mediocre people. What about setting Olympic world records? I'm not saying everyone has the ability to accomplish that. But I think far more people are capable of dreaming about that and far more people should dream of that. Because what's the point otherwise?
To just be like everyone else who is sorta in shape? Is a person's goal to be normal? What sort of goal is that? A proper goal should be to become exceptional, and then I think people will find their nutrition that works for them.
I lost a lot of weight when i was drinking water all day while snacking on fruits throughout, had a sandwich with a side of chips/salsa for lunch, and then a baked piece of meat with veggies and a cup of cranberry juice for dinner. Plus i exercised for 2-3 hrs a day (usually an hour in the morning, an hour after lunch, and an hour at night). I did this M-T for like a little over 1 month (and on F-S I’d eat whatever i wanted), and i still shed a lot of weight in a short amount of time, but it was most likely water weight because before i started this, my daily meal was like 70% soda and 30% meals containing carbs. Then i fcked up and stopped with the fruits on month 2 and gained some back 🤣 I think i read after that its not good to do this “mostly” fruits diet for more than 2 weeks anyways because of too many natural sugars in it or something
Aside from this, in HS i used to do my dance games using this calorie counter. You’d need to burn about 500 cal a day to lose a pound a week or something like that. I was dancing 300 cal a day and then doing situps and walking the other parts of the day. On the weekends i’d go to the gym and use the thigh press, leg press, cycling bike, and crunch twist machine. I did all of this for like 3 months and was very small. And i was eating whatever i wanted (fast food included) the whole time and i dont even think i drank water daily. Now a days i know i’d need to drink water daily if i ever tried that again and limit the carbs/fast food to weekends only but i def wanna get back to that body.
But eating breakfast and drinking protein shakes is something I've never done, even in the times above, and likely won't. I also always stayed up late and didn't sleep but 7 hrs or less. And i dont eat nuts or whole grain anythings. So yea i really just always madeup my own diet styles and the key was just exercising a lot to burn off most if what i just ate. I gotta get back to that
Other: Eat more controlled, meaning less junk food, better quality food and more regulated times as in the 16/8h diet. While less junk food and better quality food is technically not needed it tremendously helps with getting a better feeling for what you eat, to stop you from eating a lot of snacks, which you may otherwise not realize and doesn't make you think, that you miss something while in diet.
For a healthy diet exercise is a must too. Otherwise you dont lose fat, but muscle mass.
Source my gym trainer who is also a certified nutritionist. Its not the best as in fastest or 'best' results with people who DID succeed, but actually the best success rate.
And yes its technically a mix between some other diets. You DO get a calory deficit by losing calories in training. It can easily be combined with a vegetarian diet and is even possible with a carnivore diet or everything in between.

Diets are nonsense when you are already fat and then return to your former eating habits (especially with this awful American food).
For real long-term weight-keeping you have to change your eating habits permanently. If you don't want to think much for that, use FDH (Friss die Hälfte), translating to: "Gobble half of it".
The best diet is this:
"The GLP-1 medications, Saxenda and Wegovy®, are FDA-approved for weight loss. GLP-1 medications stimulate the secretion of insulin and slow the release of glucagon in your body, influencing blood sugar control."
The only real problem is the cost of these drugs. They are VERY effective.
I am totally against drugs unless you have exhausted all other avenues. But glad it works.
Healthier food +portion control + daily exercise is the best way to lose weight or maintain weight. Those get skinny diets even if they work aren’t always healthy and some help you lose the weight but not necessarily maintain it
eat less, move more.
A good balanced diet, high in protein so you do not feel hungry, whole grain breads, no bad carbs, some dairy, low fat, lots of non-starchy veggies, fruit and exercise.
Just make better decisions.
It is easy to do, easy to cook at home or out, and it is foods you like.
Eat regular meals but in small portions. In fact, skip a proper dinner and have something light. Of course you need to stay away from the obviously unhealthy stuff but eat everything. AND, walk lot. If your house has steps, find excuses to go up and down at least 20 times a day.
Calorien deficit and being active is the only "diet" or basic knowledge and facts on losing weight
I'm just calling you what my doctor told me I need to do is follow Mediterranean diet. One of the things I have over my years of trying to diet and keep my weight where it needs to be. Is it sensible, do not overeat, do not stress eat. If If I snack eat carrots, celery with some kind of nut butter/sunflower seed butter, bell peppers broccoli and cauliflower. With lots of common Sense. Avoid certain types of fruits. Bananas for me is not good.
Caloric deficit + cardio
I speak from experience. But still common sense applies. I wouldn't eat whatever. But without a doubt you can still treat yourself. Most people just need a little taste of success. Most people get discouraged too quickly. And most people want it right now and that is thier undoing. Do it for health not vanity. Look at it as the long game. It's not where you're going to be a couple weeks from now. It's where you're going to be a couple years. from now.
Probably the Mediterranean diet is the most healthy , diet is more about how much you eat and how many calories do you take in plus some exercise
All the diets suck and don’t work.
the best diet is learning to eat what your body requires in the macronutrient and macro counts required.
For myself to loss weight I eat less & be more active. Maybe I am one of the lucky ones.
Eat a fresh grapefruit everyday first thing in the morning or drink real grapefruit Juice if you have the stomach for it. I can’t myself just talking about it gives me heartburn. Good luck
A diet is a systemized temporary change to one's eating habits. Nutritionists suggest that a lifestyle change is more efficient and healthy rather than just choosing to diet for a certain amount of time.
Cut out all synthetic stuff. Most of the stuff companies make for us, are terrible, so you want to try and stay as natural as you can, even if that means organic. The problem with that diet is, it all tastes horrible
My mom has been doing great on the keto diet, now she's going to just low carb.
Keto, coupled up with building good habits around food!
the balanced diet...
and then work out your ass-off... literally
See food diet, I see food, I eat it.
Ha Ha ha
More protein and fiber, less carbs and fats, less frequent eating, and increase activity. Everything else is a scam.
Also, reduce portion size by only 10-15% at the most, any further reduction will make you snack or gorge at the next meal.
Fruitarian diet, or as a better word, lifestyle. One thing is a must: exercise.
