The best time to work out can vary depending on individual preferences, schedules, and goals. Here are some factors to consider when choosing a workout time:
Personal preference: Some people are more energized and motivated in the morning, while others find their energy peaks in the afternoon or evening. Choose a time that aligns with your natural rhythm and when you feel most energized.
Schedule: Consider your daily routine and obligations. If you have a busy morning or find it difficult to wake up early, fitting in a workout later in the day may be more practical. Find a time slot that allows you to be consistent with your workouts.
Fitness goals: Your goals may influence the best time to work out. For example, if your goal is to improve performance in sports or athletic activities, you might prefer to exercise when your body temperature and muscle flexibility are at their peak, which is usually in the late afternoon. If weight loss is your goal, some research suggests that exercising in the morning on an empty stomach may have some benefits for fat burning.
Sleep quality: Exercise can have positive effects on sleep, but intense workouts close to bedtime may make it harder to fall asleep. If you're sensitive to the stimulating effects of exercise, consider working out earlier in the day.
Ultimately, the best time to work out is when you can consistently commit to your exercise routine and enjoy it. Regularity and adherence to your workouts are more important than the specific time of day. Experiment with different workout times to find what works best for you and fits into your lifestyle.
For me, the morning before work is always best. I’m naturally a morning person so I find it fairly easy to get up.
I used to go after work and most of the time just didn’t do it, procrastinated and left it until later or didn’t put in 100% effort because I’d had such a long day and couldn’t be bothered and knew I’d not have much time spare in the evening.
I’ve started waking up at 6am from Monday-Friday and go to the gym 3x per week and go for a run 2x through the week (and on Sunday too if I can) and I don’t feel the dread anymore or feel super exhausted after work as much. I still have the whole evening to myself which is ideal
For me, after work fits by biorhythms the best but I have to work out in the mornings because I have an erratic work schedule and my home life in the afternoon is chaotic at best.
I get tired from my workouts in the morning but I still do it because I like the health benefits and improved appearance.
It depends when you're most energetic, combined with the access you have to the equipment, assuming you're working out in a public gym.
I'd prefer to do so after work, so I can take my time, but I finisher later in the day, so have to do so before, not long after waking up.

Scientifically? It depends on the type of exercise. For instance, for muscle growth, I've heard some people referencing studies that say it's best to workout at night time before you eat dinner. But that might not be doable for everyone. For instance, I can do it fine. But I've come across some people that can't because it will make them not be able to fall sleep easily.
So even if scientists find that we generally have better times to do certain activities, there will always be outliers. And you'll never know if it's you until you test yourself & listen to your body.
I agree with chatgpt on this one:
"Ultimately, the most effective workout time is the one that suits your lifestyle, preferences, and allows you to maintain consistency in your exercise routine. It's also worth noting that the type and intensity of the workout are often more important than the specific time of day you choose to exercise."
I personally prefer in the morning before work, or on weekends, whenever I wake up and feel like getting out of bed.
It's a great way to start the day, gives you a boost of energy, and if you're trying to lose weight or fat, apparently it's better to work out in the mornings than afternoon.
Biking around 10a-12n and 10p-12a. Aerobic dancing around 2p-5p.

In terms of work, I used to habitually bike before work, during lunch and after work. Dancing was more of a days off and weekend thing
Mornings always sound better to me - get it out of the way early - just in case you don't have the strength or the will later on in the day after work.
7-9pm is the times that I work out. I'm just not a morning person so can only workout at night
When you're pissed off and cannot focus is a good time tbh.
I go before work. I get up at 5AM ang get it done before work. It is hard to do it in the winter.
There's no such thing as a good time to put myself through immeasurable pain and suffering so I can get no results anyways
I workout while I work. Come do some farm work with me. I'll show you a work out
Whatever time you are well rested to work out.
If I worked out before work I wouldn't get there til noon. I have trouble getting up in time for work, let alone allowing time for a workout.
We’ll it really depends, I’ve done morning workouts but I prefer after work.
I prefer morning for running and early evening for weight training. Do what works for you.
I assume there's a "sweet spot" but I personally do it after work.
I can only put in a work out after work. That's the only thing I have.
Morning before work!
For me, in the morning. It helps me wake up. 😌
Whatever is best for the individual
