I am a short, underweight sedentary female. My app says my bmr burns 1152 calories a day. With activities it increases to about 1200-1300 calories a day. I just want to say that staying under 1200 calories is easy but I have to admit because of that I can't enjoy normal meals, I didn't get to eat desserts for months and I have to eat 1 chewing gum while working (office job) for breakfast until I come back home (which is about 4pm). Everyday is the same but today I came back at 1pm, for lunch I ate an average serving size of chicken, fish and rice with veggies which turned out to be about 900-1000 cals? (I found out that the olive oil i had was extra so yea instead of being 400 calories it went up to 900 calories. I was so disappointed so I didn't eat until like 8pm. I then had 2 apples but then suddenly started to feel nauseous so I ate 1 slice of toast with cheese (all of these were 280 calories). It makes me jealous of other people enjoyinh everything they want without gaining weight (and they're also sedentary like me) and then there's me trying to eat small amounts of food and still struggling to maintain my calorie intake. I'm starting to wonder whether 1200 calories is too much for me because I've been eating 700-900 calories for some weeks except for yesterday (1300 calories) and today (1200-1300).

Olive oil contains 119kcal in 1TBSP
Are you straight up taking shots of olive oil?
Check out /r/1200isplenty and consider subbing out rice for brown rice, quinoa, or caulirice. Brown rice, reduce portion size - but you may find the extra fibre helps you keep feeling full and staying regular. Caulirice easily can be a reduced calorie rice replacement plus adds more nutrition.
Consider as well adding a simple walk once a week, and increasing it.
While eating less calories than you burn WILL result in weightloss, you may also lose muscle mass if you don't do some sort of activity. The body is amazing in that even if you do a small amount of activity, it will identify you need muscle and will try not to burn those stores of energy, but will rather burn body fat (dramatially simplified but yknow, broad strokes).
You're not committed. That's why you keep craving stuff. When I went vegan I didn't crave anything because I was committed. I wanted to do it. See right now you have the idea that those foods you miss are good or delightful. They aren't. They are ruining your life. They have ruined it in the past I'm guessing. It's like you're being beat and cheated on by some dude but you stay loyal. You have to change your emotions toward it. Stop thinking about it the way you are. Start thinking about it the way I am. That's your problem. I didn't read the paragraph by the way. I read a few lines and so im talking about those few lines I read.
if your short & underweight that's a normal amount to eat to maintain your weight. if you want to eat more work out
