I have an insulin resistance issue (due to PCOS) so I’m used to having acanthosis nigricans. In the past couple years it’s been improving and my skin has gotten much clearer and normal. However, this morning I noticed my left underarm is noticeably darker and that wasn’t like that before. It’s also covering a much larger area than before. And only in one armpit, the other is clearer and normal. I’m also noticing a different odor. I don’t usually sweat under my arms and I hardly ever smell. Now I’m noticing a scent that comes even shortly after showering. A sort of mild ACV scent if I have to describe it. Can this be the effects of the heatwave or can it be something else? Thanks!
