Are you a fast walker or a slow walker?

Question

I am generally a fast walker.

Even with my crutches on, I almost run around, have no slow mode.

Today I went out, accompanied by coworker and my housekeeper.
They were running to keep up with me and laughing that I am faster than them with crutches 😁😁

Walking at a brisk pace is linked to significantly lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes, according to a study published November 28 in the British Journal of Sports Medicine. Researchers from Semnan University in Iran and Imperial College London in the UK looked at data from 10 different studies including a total of more than 500,000 participants from the US, UK, and Japan. They compared participants' walking speed with their odds of developing type 2 diabetes over an average of 8 years. The researchers found that people who had an average walking pace (which they defined as two to three miles per hour) had a 15% lower risk of diabetes than peers who had a more casual strolling pace of less than two miles an hour. The benefit was clear regardless of how much people walked (or exercised) overall, according to the data.

Fast. Just by virtue of my height. When my relatives complain “slow down”, I say “speed up”.

It was the same thing at work coming and going. It was the same at university going from class to class and lugging around textbooks.

This is why I HATE getting injured. I hate not being able to move.

I'm a paced walker... but I do have a longer stride due to height

decisive, but not one to rush... and I am also good to match the speed of whoever I am walking with, whether is kids, shorter people, slower walkers, faster ones... or eager dogs, lol

Im a fast walker too like my walking potential is even greater than my running potential like if I were able to run with the same intensity that I walk I would be sprinting or even going faster than usain bolt lol!!😝

For me walking in the street is like being in a game where you see people being closer to you and fading as you pass them!!

I am a fast walker, but I have slowed my walking a bit because I realised my blood pressure is probably a bit high.

I can't stand slow walkers. There's a glut of them in the supermarket at lunch time. I can tell they don't work by their pace.

Faster. Walking slowly in my prosthetic is very painful in my hip although making it shorter than my other leg has helped.
