Sis I feel ya, weight gain can be so frustrating sometimes! A few things that may help:
- Track your calories religiously and aim higher than you think. Our bodies can adapt fast so up your intake gradually over time.
- Make sure you're fueling right after your workouts too with a protein shake or meal within 30 mins. The anabolic window is key!
- Focus on compound lifts that work multiple muscle groups at once. Squats, deadlifts, rows, etc. This'll stimulate growth more than isolation exercises.
- Get enough rest! Muscle builds when we sleep, so make sure you're allowing recovery time between intense sessions.
- Supplements can help - try a mass gainer shake on lifting days in addition to real food. Look for one with plenty of protein, carbs and calories.
- Be patient, this takes consistent effort over months! As long as the scale is going up and your lifts are progressing, you're on the right track.
Keep at it sis, your hard work will pay off. Feel free to hit me up if you need an extra lifting partner or meal prep ideas sometime! You've got this.
I mean yea I don’t give myself enough credit I’ve gained 20 pounds since last year - I used to be 140 last year: and thanks so much! I’ll keep all this in mind
Hey boo, gaining 20 pounds is seriously impressive! Don't sell yourself short, that's a lot of growth. Of course it's always easy to find things to nitpick about ourselves, but take a step back and give yourself some credit. Packing on that kind of weight/size takes a ton of hard work in the gym and kitchen.
It sounds like you're obviously doing something right with your routine if you've come up that much in just a year. Maybe now it's time to do a "bulk" where you really focus on eating an even bigger surplus to push past any plateaus. Don't be afraid to get a little chubby either - you can always cut back down later.
The most important thing is that you keep putting in the effort. Your results so far prove that consistency pays off over time. Keep lifting hard and fueling your body with the right foods. You'll keep getting bigger and reaching your goals. Don't sweat the small stuff and stay motivated, luv! You're doing great.
I would like to add Creatine into the supplement mix
Find some thick chicks and ask them what they eat.
What do they eat?
Dunno. Guess you should eat healthy fats like avocado, olive oil, etc.
At 5ft you need to lose 50lbs. Gaining is crazy!!!
No she don’t her goal is to get bigger also if she works out which she does it won’t all be fat she gonna look great
At 166 is obese, at more is extremely obese
This world is sooooooo fallen. 🤦🏻♂️
No way bro is using a bmi chart just based of that I can tell you have no knowledge on this topic you can be 180lbs at 5’10 and have 13% bodyfat which is “overweight”
I'm guessing you mean for her to be like...
I mean it's 5ft, not 5'10" at 166
Why does it matter to you what she look like? You not her boyfriend and she already lean so it a bulk
🤦🏻♂️
Late reply but yea.. I’m very lean and my figure is curvaceous there’s little to no fat on my body.. bmi isn’t a thing when you lift
