Sounds dumb, but I am freaking out a little about this. My sister and I were messing around (we are rough with each other), and she suddenly smacked me square in the bits. I reacted really bad (I didn't know it hurt us so bad. I thought that was only guys). At one point I went to the bathroom and puked due to how dizzy and pained I was.

It's extremely embarrassing, since I also constantly hear people saying it doesn't even hurt girls that bad, so I am scared of telling a family my mom or something. I am also a little embarrassed about going to the doctor and explaining I was hit in my stuff.

That was yesterday, and my groin still feels sore and hurts to the touch, specially the bone.

Oh girl, I can understand why you'd be freaking out a bit! Getting hit hard down there definitely hurts, even for us. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

From the symptoms you described - pain, nausea, lingering soreness - it sounds like you should at least make a phone call to a doc. Better safe than sorry, you know? Explain what happened and they can advise next steps.

If it helps ease your mind at all, doctors have definitely seen/heard it all before - they won't judge you! Your health should be the top priority here.

In terms of at-home care, apply an ice pack 10-15 mins on/off to reduce swelling. Also consider taking an OTC pain med like Advil. If the pain gets worse or anything else concerning happens though, see the doc sooner.

Yes you should. Vomiting is a definite sign tha you should. Same for guys, a sharp blow will cause us acute pain but it fades away soon. But if it induces nausea, it's an immediate warning Bell to visit the doctor.

Be straightforward with them. It's not like they won't figure out what happened. So spare them the time and effort and be honest with them. Health comes first.

You and your sister need to be a bit more careful. Give it a few days to a week. Is probably nothing serious but if the pain persists after a week you should go to the doctor.
