What do you know about ayurveda? would you like to try it some day?

It is more naturopathic and focuses on the health of the body rather than treating symptoms with pharmaceuticals.

I went to a an amazing guy many years ago who was a chiropractic doctor, as well as a doctor of Chinese and ayurvedic. I had a kidney stone and a severe muscle cramp/debilitating spasms under a shoulder blade. He treated me with a vibrating massage machine and herbs.
He assessed me by looking at my eyes and tongue and palpitating my body, much the way my pediatrician did when I was a child.
For kidney stone pain, he told me to sit in a bath with water as hot as I could stand. That made the pain disappear instantly like a miracle. No western doctor would know that.
Everything he did worked.
He knew more about the human body than any western doctor I've ever been to.

I would say that ayurvedic is great for lots of things. But there are things for which a allopathic medicine is superior.

I think it's great to have a more natural/holistic approach to medicine than the pharma-worship we have now. I just think it's a bit unguided, in that they could be dead wrong on some things, but have less means for objective testing and validation. Still better than sucking corpo dick like Westerners who think pharma companies have anyone's best interest in mind. It would be nice to see a blend between trad medicine, like ayurveda, and the honest application of the scientific method. Hell, I with Western medicine actually had an honest application of the scientific method, but it will never happen.

What little I do know about it, is that it heavily relies on diet and nutrition. Something I'm a fan of.
