Well I've been in your spot before.. But the first step is not to ask "how can I cnotrol myself" the proper thing to do is ACTUALLY controlling what you eat. And by this I don't mean starving but learning what foods are healthy and what aren't and getting the appropriate amount of calories in your diet. You should read health books or get a nutrition book at the library and educate yourself with what's healthy.
You should also try to exercise.
And another good tip is.. Eat less, measure what you eat, don't deprive yourself but try to eat smaller portions, eat slowly so you are able to taste your food and enjoy it (if you eat slower your body will feel full more) and if you drink water. Also another tip they say is sometimes if your carving food you may just be thirsty so drink whenever you get a craving and if your still hungry tell yourself "I already ate (that is if you already did eat a couple minutes ago or an hour ago) and just preoccupy yourself with something fun.
Try not to be bored. Boredom can lead to emotional eating.
Tell yourself to control what you eat.
Tell yourself to eat healthy smaller portions and than eat healthy and smaller portions of foods!
The thing is you don't need to ask us how, you already know what to do the thing is just do it! lol And I don't mean it in a mean way because I've been down this road before. Just remember, don't starve yourself, eat healthy, eat lots of greens and fruits and drink water and eat chicken... eat yummy healthy stuff like salads, apricots, pineapple.. Make your diet be alive! Eat like a healthy exercise trainer would eat! Model in their shoes!
Good luck! And Exercise!

when I first started dieting I would drink fiber right before a calorie laden meal only take a small amount of food and than leave where people are eating. over time your body won't want as much and you'll find it easier to avoid things. I took a bunch of nude pics of things I didn't like about my body and I would rember them every time I saw someone dishing out birthday cake or anything els that was a waste of calories. I also used positive reinforcement when I was dooing well take measurments weigh myself once a week and watch the numbers go down every time went down a size id rush out and buy sum new clothes I chose to shop at goodwill because I could get more for the money and I knew id be in a new size the next month anyway hope it helps if you want any support have any more questions make me a friend ill be glad to help
You can either live to eat or eat to live. Food your body needs is different from food you want. Every time you go to eat start asking if what's on your plate is "eating to live" or "living to eat". Once you start objectifying foods like that it should be easier to turn them down. Also, if you start demonizing bad food and convincing yourself it will only harm you your urge to eat it will go away. Every time I feel like eating greasy fried chicken or ice cream I tell myself it will only turn into fat and I'll hate looking at myself.
For me, I can't maintain diet unless I'm also working out. I need a reason to tell myself to eat healthy and if I eat junk food when I'm at the gym I'll feel like crap and it reminds me that I need to drink more water and eat better foods.
Talking about controlling what you eat? Don't buy any unhealthy food and it won't be an option for when you search your kitchen for something to eat.
Good motivation picture my friend has on the fridge.

eating every 2-3 hrs/ having 5-6 meals throughout the day that includes snack (ex: breakfast - snack - lunch - snack - dinner). By having healthy snacks in between the main meals, you won't have to deal with cravings and won't feel as hungry throughout the day so you won't be searchin for food. PLus keep all of the meals/snack nutrient rich as they will help keep you fuller, again reducing your cravings
What are the unhelthiest things you eat? Make a list of them. Then, before you eat any of them, imagine yourself looking like them. I mean, an ice cream sundae may look good but would you want to LOOK LIKE ONE?
Ask your parents to stop buying unhealthy foods.
Start researching the benefits of eating healthy. Knowledge is strength. The more you know about health the more you will be willing to abide by a healthy lifestyle.Have a regular eating schedule. And drink a lot of water during the day. 1) It's healthy and 2) your stomach will think it has food in it so you won't be tempted to eat as much.
Best method of self control: put a lock on the fridge.
But seriously, food is meant for eating. What's your problem?Don't have bad food in the house and go shopping when your full, makes it pretty easy to eat healthy!
1. lift your shirt up
2. observe your gut
3. feel bad
4. change
XDPick up a coup of Orpha magazine that should motivate you to control yourself.
Find another comfort zone. I'm the same way, too, whenever I'm stressed/unhappy/sad, I just eat. I think we need to find another comfort zone; a healthier one.
u could try locking food in a cupboard, I've seen that done before
I suggest that you take a balance diet because it will result to the ideal body.
